- Better Than Adventure is a Mod for Beta Minecraft 1.7.3 that overhauls the game and tries to answer the question of "What if Minecraft never left beta?"

the sprinting gamerule is so useful cause i personally dont like not being able to sprint and thats a really good selling point for anyone whos used to newer minecraft versions
I don't mind not being able to sprint, but I wanted to playthis mod with my friends, but they didn't like that they were not being able to sprint, guess I have some good news for them
The new update looks amazing, without doubt is the best "alternative timeline" Minecraft, but they didn't add the paradise's dimension yet?
No not yet. New dimensions are very far down on the roadmap, but yes this is one of my favorite mods period!
That's coming in 1.7.8, along with a bunch of Nether features (some of which I suggested).
Man I should put together a 1.7.3 modpack again, just for nostalgia sake.
Loved that era of minecraft.
most b1.7.3 mods aren’t compatible with BTA but it does have a small amount of its own mods available in its discord with a custom Babric port

While I'm not interested in going back to beta, as it was only individual features for me that I didn't like and many I really liked, it is interesting seeing a part of the community that is staying on beta versions and seeing the things they are creating.

Ngl, I would want all of this stuff in the newer updates too XD I want planks that are actually red like the wool, not whatever the crimson hyphae and mangrove wood has got going on😅 And the paper walls are cool too of course :p

this has been a great update so far, my favorite feature has to be the random world names, which i believe is actually taken from MCDiverge, or maybe one of the classic+ mods, but still, it makes it so much faster for me, that, and im not using the same worn out joke name for my world 8 times over.
there’s already unstable nightly builds for some 7.2 features like Ropes, gold mesh dropped item filter blocks or colored wood doors. they abandoned the prerelease system
No the prerelease system is still in place, you can just think of this as daily snapshots.
Too bad for me the game breaks, chunks randomly dissapear, before it was still playable, but now in the update the game crashes when the world suddenly goes invisible
I have seen some of these issues on the discord, im sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with 7.1. Hopefully they rush out some patches in the next month or so.
i'm pretty sure you can use bonemeal to grow cocoa beans instantly as well. nice video man.

That's fair! Beta Minecraft isn't everyone's cup of tea. I'm just grateful Minecraft offers so many ways for players to cater the gameplay to their own tastes.
STOP SPEAKING ABOUT BTA 😭Anywhere I go I keep seeing it and makes me so sad that for some reason I can't play it, my game has some type of problem and my world doesn't save.
I've tried everything and asked for help so many times nothing fixes it :( I want to play bta so much..
I'm sorry to hear that! I would recommend using Prism Launcher and downloading the BTA update utility and dragging that into prism launcher. After that just run it and it should create a instance called "Better Than Adventure (managed)" that you can run to play the mod.

@@rickthiccem Sadly I already tried all of that, used Prism, MultiMC, installed the new version, installed the auto updating instance and the same problem remains.. my world after playing for a few minutes stops saving, stuff in my inventory remain but changes to the world revert every time I leave.
Perhaps it's a problem from my laptop but I never had this problem before in any version of minecraft regardless of mods.
