I'm so happy you mentioned "The Bible Project" I love their channel as well. I read the New Testament. But having a hard time with the Old Testament, because I always got stuck in Numbers and Deuteronomy.
I would also say that invite the Holy Spirit into your Bible study. He gives more clarity and understanding to whatever you are reading and it also becomes more fruitful. The word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light on our path (Psalm 119:105) and the oil that keeps the lamp burning is the Holy Spirit.
As a new christian in a non religious household these videos really helpfull. Im 19 right now and im starting the alpha youth group in january close to my house. Im so thankfull that the lord made me stumble upon this channel because its been helping a lot!

I've read through the Bible 6-7 times but the first time took me about 6 years as well to get into a routine and finally after setting aside a lot of things like radio, music and TV, I was able to keep track of my progress and for sure made it through. After that, I just started over and kept up the routine.

Cool advice . one thing that I might add is that about 15 minutes a day will get you through the Bible in a year . Also playing a audio version you are reading at the same time helps a lot . Blessings
I feel like another great tip is to not just open and close your bible Pray before you open it ask for the scriptures to be heart felt and to get something from them and if you do meditate on that pray about it! Hope you are all going well in your walks!
I had to make time for it. What i find, it is best for me to have my quite time in the morning, which is very challenging, especially full time working. I read my bible from 5-7 am than i go on with my day. That means, i need to schedule my sleep schedule to it haha.

i am praying and pls pray for me and also for those people who are willing to read through entire bible to continuously read and be transformed, be consistent upon it and i am hoping to finish reading through it by the age 20 i guess. I am 18 as of now and read some books. And FOR US who are willing to comeback with the Lord, the days are evil, we might fall down again but remember "the enemy's ultimate goal is the destruction of God's children so when trials and problems come, we must not think and act against God because if we, the enemy wins despite the love we had building on with God." The challenges are much more closer to the ones who've just started working on their faith. anddd btw i am so thankful for this yt channel actually it is my mom who recommended me this heheheh
YESS! Reading the bible (hopefully in a year) and I'm going by books, trying to read 2-3 books a week, going in no specific order and I've enjoyed it so far! This is a lovely clip! In the Orthodox Church, there is a common devotion for people to read 3 chapters a day (usually 1 chapter of the Gospels followed by 2 chapters from Acts/Epistles/Revelation). I went through the New Testament some like 20+ times like that... read the Old Testament some 2 times, and yes, it is much more time consuming.

When I read the Bible I started in genesis and all of Old Testament and than the New Testament. Took me like 6 months I think but I listened to the Bible through audio on my walks!
I'm almost finished reading the entire Bible for the first time (I've been reading it for 3 years), and sometimes I felt down that I couldn't read a Bible in a year and I felt like everyone else can read through the Bible in a year and why can't I.... But then I looked at all these plans to read Bible in 365 days and it just seems like a lot to me. I love digging deep and spending time and analyzing every chapter (30-60 mins for each chapter), and reading like 5 chapters a day would take all my day and as a university student I just can't do it. So I think it's good to find your own pace and plan and stick to it, even if it's 1 chapter a day... Thanks for the video, it's really good!
I previously used Bible gateway (it’s similar to blue letter bible) & LISTEN to the Bible, but it doesn’t save where you left off, so I found myself losing track of where I was. Now I listen to the amplified Bible through Audible on my commute to/from work or when I’m cleaning. It was my husband’s idea, so I’m not sure how much it cost or anything, but it is perfect because it saves where I was. Also I have A.W Tozer The Pursuit of God on Audible, it is a VERY good book. I also recommend watching this channel to my friends & In touch Ministries on CZcams. Thank you for this video, I never heard of the Bible project & I’m excited to share it with my 7 yr old 👍🏻
"Give yourself grace" when doing your Bible reading. So wise! Great advice! I'm attempting currently to memorize different Psalms. I started with Psalm 91 and I'm working on Psalm 100 now. With my coffee at hand I can do it!😙
I just discovered the importance of Jesus Christ and I’m turning 30 this year, even though I know he’s been with me my whole life, i know he will forgive me for my absence as I know now he will and always be there for me. I began studying his word this year. The pandemic and worldly problems stressed me out and didn’t know who are what to turn to. It takes time and sometimes negativity to put you on the right path. I’m happy to know I’m not the only one feeling this way and love that I have found a place where I know I belong and it brings me immense joy knowing others feel the same. Just want to share one good method, that's to read 15min every day (you may time yourself). Then, you can read through the entire Bible once by 8 months (may be different depending on your own speed). There is no plan needed, just need to stick to reading 15min per day. It really works. I really love it!

Thank you for this, I'm so blessed with how God works through you, very inspiring and just you talking about the 1 year, or even 6 month bible plans being overwhelming made me feel not alone because when I decided to give my life to God about a year or so ago I immediately rushed into that and I thought I was a failure, I think I might've had this deep down worry that something was wrong with me if I could never read the bible like that in huge chunks. Another idea: take a class! I struggled to read the Bible for years before it occurred to me to just take a class at my college. They assign a portion of the Bible to read for each class period, and then we all get together and discuss what we read. It's perfect for accountability and sticking with a plan. We talk about the Bible in a more academic than religious perspective, of course, with it being a college class. But it's still been fantastic for me - we're going to read the entire New Testament in one semester, and we'll still be super thorough (writing papers, class discussions, and so on)! Most colleges have a religious studies department full of courses on the Bible. I don't know how you'd find a class like that if you weren't in college, but I'm certain that they exist; maybe try community colleges, online courses, or something through your church. One warning though: before you do this, do some research on the professor who teaches the course you're considering. The last thing you want is a professor who's condescending toward or disgusted by Christianity!

LOVE this video. I had read the bible once through when I was doing the bible in 90 days.However it was more of a check off the list and not totally digging deep in his word.
I'm going to be 21 and I've only made it to the Noah's Arc story.... 2021 will be the year I'm going to read it through! I do a lot better when I'm watching videos about the stories, but I really want to actually read it. It's our history and there are so many positive things Jesus taught and I want to learn them ^_^
Woooow! I've watched this video for a dozen times (or more) before, but it is JUST NOW that I noticed (at 6:32) that we can use those clear stamps without acrylic blocks! I've been wanting to use clear stamps but I don't have the acrylic block so I thought I cannot use them at all. But what kind of ink did you use, Ashley? Did it bleed through?
You get faster the more times you read it. The quickest my wife and I have been able to get is 7 times through it in one year. But you have to understand that we've read through The complete Bible well over 50 times each. We started reading through lots of different Bibles like NIV, NASB, Living Bible, and just lots of others. But one stood out well above all others and now we only read it. This Bible way out shines any others.

I just discovered the importance of Jesus Christ and I’m turning 30 this year, even though I know he’s been with me my whole life, i know he will forgive me for my absence as I know now he will and always be there for me. I began studying his word this year. The pandemic and worldly problems stressed me out and didn’t know who are what to turn to. It takes time and sometimes negativity to put you on the right path. I’m happy to know I’m not the only one feeling this way and love that I have found a place where I know I belong and it brings me immense joy knowing others feel the same. I totally relate. Sometimes I spend 30 minutes dissecting one verse and then I feel like I got behind on my reading but Im learning it isn't about how quickly you read through it!

Just want to share one good method, that's to read 15min every day (you may time yourself). Then, you can read through the entire Bible once by 8 months (may be different depending on your own speed). There is no plan needed, just need to stick to reading 15min per day. It really works. I really love it!

Thank you for this, I'm so blessed with how God works through you, very inspiring and just you talking about the 1 year, or even 6 month bible plans being overwhelming made me feel not alone because when I decided to give my life to God about a year or so ago I immediately rushed into that and I thought I was a failure, I think I might've had this deep down worry that something was wrong with me if I could never read the bible like that in huge chunks. I decided a couple weeks ago I wanted to read the whole bible in a year (I'm using the bible app cos there is a plan called "the bible in a year", but I dont know if you can find it in english cos I speak swedish :)) and I think your tips are great and they will help me :), and btw I really like your videos, they are very useful and they are really helping me to growing closer to God. Another idea: take a class! I struggled to read the Bible for years before it occurred to me to just take a class at my college. They assign a portion of the Bible to read for each class period, and then we all get together and discuss what we read. It's perfect for accountability and sticking with a plan. We talk about the Bible in a more academic than religious perspective, of course, with it being a college class. But it's still been fantastic for me - we're going to read the entire New Testament in one semester, and we'll still be super thorough (writing papers, class discussions, and so on)! Most colleges have a religious studies department full of courses on the Bible. I don't know how you'd find a class like that if you weren't in college, but I'm certain that they exist; maybe try community colleges, online courses, or something through your church.
One warning though: before you do this, do some research on the professor who teaches the course you're considering. The last thing you want is a professor who's condescending toward or disgusted by Christianity!

LOVE this video. I had read the bible once through when I was doing the bible in 90 days.However it was more of a check off the list and not totally digging deep in his word.
I'm going to be 21 and I've only made it to the Noah's Arc story.... 2021 will be the year I'm going to read it through! I do a lot better when I'm watching videos about the stories, but I really want to actually read it. It's our history and there are so many positive things Jesus taught and I want to learn them ^_^

Woooow! I've watched this video for a dozen times (or more) before, but it is JUST NOW that I noticed (at 6:32) that we can use those clear stamps without acrylic blocks! I just got through doing this, you guys, and it is SO worth it!
You get faster the more times you read it. The quickest my wife and I have been able to get is 7 times through it in one year. But you have to understand that we've read through The complete Bible well over 50 times each. We started reading through lots of different Bibles like NIV, NASB, Living Bible, and just lots of others. But one stood out well above all others and now we only read it. This Bible way out shines any others.
