  • A quick look at what I have and the work that has to be done to the body shell. I'll be putting in new floor boards, trunk floor, driver side quarter panel and much more. Lots to do!

    Me and 3 friends lifted the body off the frame, I've also used a cherry picker to lift it off before when doing it by myself.

    yes, bracing is important on these convertibles. I braced door jamb to door jamb and from each door jamb to top door hinge holes. Some diagonal bracing wouldnt hurt either.

    thanks, i have a 72 skylark convertible i want to pull off frame for same work you're doing, did you have to put a brace between door pillars & quarters to prevent floor from flexing?

      Twaine H. I wanted a project to work on. That’s part of the fun for me. I have since sold this car and I’m working on a 68 Chevelle convertible.
