- In today's travel vlog, we recap our favorite moments and show you six reasons why we fell in love with Thailand. From the inspiring temples to the delicious street food and sprawling night markets, Thailand has so much to offer.
We've been living here for nearly three months and loved it so much that we extended our visas to explore more of the country. But now that our extensions have ended, we had to decide what to do next. Should we renew our visas or explore more of Southeast Asia? It was a challenging decision, to say the least!

April 13-15, 2023 is Thai New Year's Day. Thai people call Songkran. There are splashing games all over the country. It's a very fun event. You guys should experience the Songkran Festival of Thailand.❤❤

I 'm glad to know your happiness in Thailand . For Songkran Festival ( Water festival ) in during 13 -15 April everyyear ,it is New Year of Thai traditional . In this festival, you can enjoy in water spray playing and can learn about old traditional cultural.

Once is never enough for visiting Thailand. While you guys explore in our neighbour countries please make sure to come back to celebrate Songkran Festival in Thailand during 13-15 April. It's the most famous festival and a traditional Thai New Year. Chiang Mai is the best place for this celebration and it starts early from 12-16 April. Pease do an early reservation as it's definitely full of tourists since it's the first full celebration after the pandemic. it's a fun water fight that you shouldn't miss.

#8 Tipping is not expected in Thailand. Nice restaurants often add a 10% surcharge fee for services already in the bill. But most places do not. If you feel like tipping to show appreciation, normally THB 20 suffices. In general, service workers do not expect tips. People are genuinely kind and happy to serve others; hence, no tipping will not compromise on their services.
Interesting! Good to know. We always leave a little extra for good service. It seems some people go above and beyond and as we’re from the hospitality and tourism industry in the US, it’s engrained in our culture, so we feel it’s right. Thanks for explaining, we’ve always had lovely service in Thailand.

Come to Thailand to joy "SongKran day" the biggest festival in Thailand. The beautiful tradition on the morning at the temple and The craziest "Water War" on street in the afternoon. ChiangMai is the best destination.

Interesting! Similar to Loy Krathong/Yee Peng. Chang Mai is one of our favorite places ever, this might be where we need to go!
@@mikeandashley People of the northern part of Thailand always celebret every ceremony on 3 days.
- You should study about their tredition, belive and place before joy them. You'll understand the meaning of ceremony and feel very happy with their festival.
- You should plan and reserv hotel and transportation before the event brcause everything will fully booked and expensive.
*Sonkran is very long long weeked in Thailand and important than Loykratong.

@@mikeandashley so many beautiful beaches depending on the places --Koh Samui (Chaweng, Lamai, Maenam beaches), Phuket (Pa Tong beach), Krabi (Ko Lanta, Ko Phi Phi), Prachuap Khiri Khan (Hua Hin), Phang Nga (Ko Similan), Ko Pha-Ngan ( Haad Rin). I have been to most of these places but I truly can not decide which is my favorite one. Love them all.
We are very excited to come back to Thailand and explore the southern part of this beautiful country.
We just have to keep exploring other places in between our visas! 😊
