@@juanmartinez9306 Not really, when you're down by 10 points with a minute left in basketball the other team can just hold the ball and wait out the clock a few times to secure the win. Everyone knows it's over before the game is actually finished. In baseball, even if you're down by 10 runs in the bottom of the 9th with two outs, it's possible to claw your way back to victory. Not likely, but possible, and that makes baseball beautiful.
This one hurt extremely bad as a cubs fan always knew the relievers would be a big struggle for the cubs this year 😢 good win San Diego

Best game I’ve ever attended. You really could feel the excitement and energy building as that 6th inning went on.
Baseball is the only sport where you see these types of comebacks. I’ve been watching/playing soccer my whole life and a couple of years ago started watching baseball and I can say that even though they can’t be compared, baseball has insane games!!

The Padres need to get consistent vs chaotic. Nothing and then 7 in one inning. It's the exact same as previous years. Suarez, Merrill and Chronenworth all looking consistently good though.

Tatis when he hits that hr...sent chills to my spine...he plays with emotion..say what you like about him but he makes baseball fun.
I was going to watch the game but decided to plant vegetables in my garden. I worked all day. Planted over 120 plants.
When I checked the final score I just smiled and nodded my head.

20 years ago I saw the first game at Petco which was between the SDSU Aztecs and the University of Houston. The Aztecs shutout Houston as the Padres prepared for their first series at Petco. I didn't go to the first game, but I did attend the first Sunday day game at Petco and watched Ryan Klesko hit a walk off homer to win it in the ninth. Great memories.

I was at the Aztecs game as well! I went with some buddies and just remembering heckling the opposing team for fun in a new park. Really great experience. The Brian Giles home run in Petco was amazing as well

From & still Reside in San Diego Cali. Wife's from Chicago & My Cousin still lives out there. When my mom was still with us, she lived in Chicago for 30 Years & I used to stay with her during my College Summer & other times. Caught roughly 20 Games at Wrigley & it was always Epic, I mean just the History Alone is AWWWSEME. Yah Assad has Got Great Stuff, Keep an Eye on Him⚾️⚾️⚾️👏👏👏

that pitch he threw Jackson Merrill for the K in the ⬇️2 with runners on 1st & 3rd was dirty. I mean it was never a strike, but the bottom just dropped right out of it. I didn't see the game and have only looked at the box score and see he went 5. so he deserved the win. too bad they couldn't hold a huge lead.

From a Cubs fan, right now. DFA Cuas, He’s all over the place, he can’t find the zone, he’s walking people. Call up Carl Edward’s Jr. Get Cuas and Almonte out of here already. Cuas is costing us runs and this is why.
I know that had to be gut wrenching for the cubs fans, tough loss. But so stoked for the padre players on fighting back. Miracle Monday for them.

His at-bat was insane. Nearly hit it out (foul), racked up a full count, battled around 10 pitches, and then just obliterated that home run. Epic!

Born in San Diego; raised in Point Loma. Moved to Montana in 1993 but went to many Padres games from 1969 to 1993. One of the best was in 1974 against the Pirates. Like last night the Padres were down eight; going into the bottom of the eighth inning it looked hopeless but then something happened to wake up the team and they scored nine runs to win in the ninth 9-8. Former Yankee veteran Horace Clarke won the game with a game-winning RBI and the few fans left were going nuts. I’m assuming it was a bit louder at Petco last night! Go Padres!!

As a Dodger fan, I love seeing the madres lose, but not with bad calls from the umps. You can tell Darvish was rattled by that terrible call. Completely messed up his game. These umps have been terrible.
