For anyone having trouble hitting the damage in the video even with an identical mod setup, to heavy attack with this weapon you need to throw the glaive and then press your heavy attack button while it is midair to detonate it manually. That's what gives the damage.
Thanks for calling out, I use Xoris really well, but I wanna know about a 12x combo build with this because a 12x combo build is not working at all in steel path with the base arcane. And I mean by weapon alone and not any warframe buff.
Melee Influence is busted on a scale we have yet to see I think. There are builds out there that utilize Influence to oneshot up to levelcap, which while not unseen before, is very silly that a zaw and a grouping ability can just eliminate anything the game throws that isn't status immune.
Incoming Nerf
There is a video of someone using an mk1 braton in level cap too. Turns out everything in the game can be viable if you buff it enough, that is not an excuse really.
We actually have seen this before, as Melee Influence is basically just Close Contagion from Duviri, but exclusive to melee procs
i think it would be too strong even if they remove all the interactions that do not fit the description.

This has been my go-to Gyre melee since the update. Gyre has always preferred range and aoe out of her melee weapons, so Xoris was always a contender, but with this not only is it just fantastic on its own but the sheer amount of electric procs you get ramp up gyre's passive to it's cap on any enemies that somehow survive.

Personally, I still use the Glaive Prime on My Beloved(tm) because those slash procs are too good to pass up. However, since the update, I have modded mine for electricity with Melee Influence to do something very similar to this with it.

@@leSmokySmoke as great as Gyre is, you do need weapons to kill high level steel path enemies in reasonable time.
Though, even against weaker enemies, having a massive AoE nuke on Xoris with Gyre's crit buffs and chain lightning from rotorswell is far more effective at wiping groups than her abilities are.
It's not necessary, but you do have 3 weapon slots, and you may as well use them.
The KPM on that run was nice. Melee's being good again, corrosive being able to completely strip armor, this update has been a wild ride.

2 green shards for complete Corrosive armor strip makes it even more stupid and you can trigger Melee Influence with your operator (need a single Virtuos Surge arcane) and the Sister Hounds (Synergized Prospectus ability).
I have a feeling the Virtuos Surge one will get fixed, it really doesn't sound like something that should be possible, but I can see the Hound keeping this interaction as it's a melee based companion.
Guess I know what I will be building today to change up things a bit. Great video.

As a Zephyr player, this is an absolute win
Returning player, slapped together a shoe string build on the Xoris thinking nothing of it and that baby’s one popping all factions up to and past level 80. Feels good.
I've been considering using volatile rebound so that when you throw it into a group of enemies the glaive procs influence multiple times due to bounces and then again when returning, that would also open up the throw into a group of enemies and forget kind of playstyle
That actually sounds really good. I should get a volatile rebound.
Just remember, volatile explosions don't have the guaranteed proc. You'd probably want falcor over xoris if you are using rebound for influence.
@@Epicmonk117 just do deimos necralisk bounties as khora, hydroid, or nekros
you can still get it without on of those three, but it will be slower. Also b/c of duviri those frames are way easier to obtain (at least in the case of khora)
@@Epicmonk117 My idea has a problem and that is you can't use your incarnon form of secondary while having a glaive equipped this makes glaives worse than not having a meele equiped until DE decides to fix it.
@@ysgramorssoupspoon2261 That’s only for single pistol incarnons. Dual pistol incarnons like the Dual Toxocyst still work fine, as do non-incarnon alt-fires.
And TBH I’d rather not use my Lex and Atomos incarnon than not use my Glaive Prime.
Finally after all these years, my 5 Forma Xoris that I built specifically as an infinite combo duration stat stick for Khora's Whipclaw is useful again
the music that’s playing while you’re demolishing enemies and hearing their cries of death is HILARIOUS 😂
this also proofs that as long it kills fast enough, with how the base mission range is mostly around 1-300. only specific content might require better loadout.

Cant wait to see this on my 367% Strength, Empowered Quiver Ivara
(427% with Molt Augmented, and Pillage subsumed)
i use this with kullervo , his heavy attack efficiency and his 4 and 2 easily being able to build up max combo ( plus the electric mod that gives heavy attack efficency aswell ) means your doing 12x red crit nukes absolutely 1 shotting everything and only losing 1-2x combo

2 green shards with corrosive xoris for stripping armor from stranglers for electric procs to finish them off.
Man its so good with melee influence.
Falcor is quite amazing as well, garanteed electric on regular throws too
@darkmugetsu6572 I've tried it on every glaive. It can work but not as good as the xoris, still fun though. It works really well on prisma ohma to.
I feel the Falcor is better than the Xoris though you put Volatile Rebound on that fucker and it will hone in on enemies like crazy and create insane status procs without the need of detonating and consuming your combo

Brozime, will this build not benefit from Condition overload as your are casting status effects and your xoris by default casts a wide aoe electric effect?
I have been using the xoris ever since I got it and I also wound up getting a riven for it (by sheer luck as well, didn't buy it) what would you suggest I try and get on the riven and what I should avoid on it for this build? (currently the riven has +39.6% crit damage, +90.7% crit chance, and +25.7 attack speed)

Best arcane of the bunch, though Melee Exposure is also *STRONG* (240% corrosive damage for using abilities with no down time)
Is there a list somewhere of weapons that can properly take advantage of melee influence? Can any melee with inherent electricity damage do it, or can you just just mod electricity?
Id love a video that breaks down the mechanics for this arcane
its 20% chance to grant the buff that is 100% chance to spread and thats SOOO silly strong
also it triple dips banes (and possibly quad dips toxic lash)
and theres a little bit of raw damage being spread on top of the disgusting electric cluster stacking (and electric itself is AOE for the reaaally tight bunches of enemies) which is a little bit extra pain on acolytes when you shotgun them (in the path of exile sense of the term) and even more instant tile wipe at low-mid levels
2 kills per second btw. thats probably really close to spawn rate
Hey Brozime! Just saw this and tried it out. I'm not getting anywhere near the damage you are. Mods are set up exactly the same.
How do you heavy attack throw?

So just curious as I just got back into the game about 2 weeks ago; is there any update to slash based heavy builds after whispers? I have been using the azothae on xaku for acolytes and (unnecessarily) one shoting eximus while i just use the guns and block function for everything else.
Biggest change would be dropping corrupt charge because cresendo is just better, granted that would require at minimum a rank 2 version so corrupt charge would still be fine until that point
@@tylerprime6741I just checked the arcane and to get the 2x initial combo that corrupt charge offers you would need 4 finishers (at tier 5 of the arcane) which is fine but a little annoying of Xaku. Ill consider it though, thanks for the advice.
@@brandendunagan8822 it's moreso that's the biggest thing to change on heavy attack builds as the other arcanes don't change the build much at all. Other than influence I guess but that's not too much of a heavy attack arcane unless it's on a glaive

I haven't taken advantage of Influence yet, it's sitting maxed in my inventory but everything I'm seeing of it is just convincing me DE will def nerf esp after some of the Amber Shard things I've seen other people were sad about. I've kind of just stuck with this event for this update and have everything else grinded out but sitting there except for Exposure since I see no reason they would nerf that.
The fact that with this weapon, a free weapon from a quest, with a build that a newer player may have (no umbral, no primed, no amalgam mods) and had just finished Whispers in the walls and happened upon a single copy of Melee Influence, a more newer player can already potentially take on high level steel path enemies is insane. Should you go in with just this one melee weapon and its build, no. There is far more to being able to take on steel path than just one weapon. But the fact even a newer player has that potential available to them, just shows how insane the tennokai and melee arcanes are.
And forget it if you take this thing into any granum crown runs. You know, the mini-activity its actually made for and excels at? Those specters will wish Parvos would give up on taking Fortuna Citizens.
My poor ass sold Xoris back then cause I needed the slot for a newer weapon. Its a pain to grind rep to buy it back from Simaris.
Update: Kuva fortress exterminate was God sent. Also cool that Xoris still has 1 minute foundry time.

@@daladin4674 Thank you. Now if I can just figure out why sometimes when I throw iit with nothing in front of me, I get knocked to the ground like an invisible barrier is there. This is without detonating it.
I have so many melee arcanes just from farming grotesque splinters.
I didn't think of this one....I have been unlocking the slot on a few glaives....and I did the scissor sword that does base of electric and put that same arcane on.....I'm not full maxed but I did a range build that shows me how good the arcane can be on basically anything with base electric.
I would have got to this eventually.
need to try the Falcor, no one been talking about it but it has forced electric on charged throws, no need to consume combo and it hones on targets. Has weak crit but double status chance and almost double base damage of xoris.

Do you have to be a certain MR or gotten to a certain point in the story to be able to use weapon exilus adapter and weapon arcane adapter? Cause I don't have the option to use it on the Xoris

Or ya know, put Melee Influence on Falcor with a combo setup plus bounces since it has electric procs on every hit, not just heavy.
What would you swap out for a riven mod. And what roll for for the effects? I was going to swap prime fever strike for 80.5 crit chance x2 for heavy 46.1 elect 48.2 toxin

There's a 56% electric tenet Livia in the shop for sale at relay rn. Perfect for mele influence builds what the fuggk*
replacing maxed primed Pressure Point with maxed Sacrificial Pressure will increase the average damage by about 12% due to the increase in critical chance from Sacrificial Steel set bonus along with basic damage mods stacking being additive with Killing Blow
good idea but that would require at least 1 umbral forma to be used since both of those mods would add to 32 on their own, even with a regular forma in every other slot you wouldn't have enough mod capacity
@@Mr-Geist-Bong you can fit it with 5 forma if you downgrade Whirlwind to rank 1/5 which will make xoris just as fast as glaive prime which in my opinion is fast enough and if you forma the exilus slot you can in fact fit in Pressure Point with all the mods maxed without any umbral forma
@@Mr-Geist-Bong You're just straight up wrong. You can replace PPP with sac pressure without using any umbra forma, you just need to use 6 regular forma

Here’s a good tip for y’all if you use kullervo that’s guaranteed red crits that way you won’t need any crit Chance mods and can add a crit damage mod for even more dps hope this helps!!!!
Brozime please update your Archon Shard preferences list for new archon shards. It was a good road map to know what to use.

Fun fact, the cracked build doesn t even have faction mod, which i heard QUADRIPLE-dips on melee influence.
Hey Brozime, would you be interested in my super noob friendly, 0 forma wukong that I’ve found is sturdy enough to handle everything from steel path and archon hunts? It’s actually got enough leftover mod space I slapped a lot of parkour and speed mods on it. I slapped it together one day and found out that I end up being the carry for several hour long arbitrations without dipping into my 3 “get out of death free” cards
I prefer the full electric heavy, or gas electric heavy.

Oh yeah, the time stamp for the "Steel Path run" is a bit too far at the end. It should start at around 10:12 or so
While the Xoris itself is absolutely bonkers, all glaives do not work well with secondaries with special abilities. Take the Tenet Plinx, for example. You can dual-wield the plinx and the glaive and do all your regular glaive stuff while popping off shots with the plinx. But, what you can't do is use the Tenet Plinx' special secondary shot (the grenade like shot) while you have the glaive. On the glaive you cannot proc the heavy attack, unless you hit the button twice. Assigning different buttons to each attack doesn't work either. This seems to apply to all glaives. So that quite diminishes the use of any secondary+glaive combination.

I'm curious as to what you mean by "new player." From what I've researched, You have to have done Whispers in the Walls, and that seems a bit further in than "new player" territory.
Rank 0 arcane is LESS then 10p bud a new player can scrape together that much for a rank zero from wfm

For some reason Vex armor scales like roar with the Xoris. No idea why. It makes it do like a billion damage.
When that arcane is better than the platinum, and to be honest a part of me wants the glaives to be nerfed it’s been meta for son long I’ve been wanting to use a different melee weapon but they just suck I do wonder what de has planned

xoris (and all other glaives) throw speed is attached to its heavy attack windup so no there is no good sub for amalgam organ shatter since you are getting both cd and the faster throw from it.
it sucks you cant use glaives with incarnon secondary weapons bc the alt fire button doesnt work with the incarnon when dual wielding for seemingly no reason

Simaris has a bunch of 'quest' blueprints that you can buy at the relay for standing. Xoris might be there but dont quote me on that.

I thinl you need to complete a quest to unlock it its after the new war quest line
Could also be that you need to unlock steel path. I believe they changed it a while ago that you couldn't see the exilus slot for primaries and secondaries until you unlocked steel path, or at least acquired the arcane. Either of those.
You need to complete the whispers in the wall quest
