In This one, I'll talk about the debate between cars packs and battle passes... and how these cars should be distributed, which monetisation system the games should use, which one of the 2 should be part of games to provide content for them!

The main problem with battlepasses is FOMO and "lack of creativity." Fomo is obvious why its bad. The lack of creativity on the other hand is more "the free pass has almost nothing good until like the last tier/all reskinned cosmetics" as this allows developers to add multiples of the same type of cosmetic, but its a different colour.
I think the cars should be upgraded individually as well. The more races you race with one car the more you can upgrade it. Think it would give people more reason to play and drive all the other cars. Because you would have to drive and upgrade it before and not just swapped parts from car to car.
Battle pass= u have to complete it so it brings content (like doing tasks to complete it), it can also be free
Car packs= only brings new cars, you must pay for them
It’s not just something with racing games it’s just modern gaming in general
Season Pass is still the best method IMO for such paid DLC content. You pay slightly more ahead of time early on, but over time, you will get the content immediately (possibly even ahead of non-paying players) and the overall cost for that season would be higher than what you paid for the season pass.
Now the worst models for this would be a subscription plan where you would keep an active subscription to get certain perks and weekly/monthly premium content, but once the subscription ends, those perks and some of the content will be locked out. Or a gacha type system.
Battle passes and car packs are somewhere in the middle.
I literally bought this car pack for $5 when it came out before they putted it for $10 💀
I prefer the way car packs are immediate. Buy 4 cars for an insanely cheap price of just $5 and you have them asap, but it whenever you want. unlike the festival playlist. If you don't play each week you miss out on those cars and have to pay 20M or wait for them to return which is their FOMO free battle pass alternative. NFS died real early. I never tired getting back into it, but have heard good things lately. Still waiting on TCM to get their act together and add real content. Not the same recycled garbage that is main stage which nobody likes
Pay for car pack,
Game devs make more money,
Said money could be used for more cars,
More cars could be in car pack,
Pay for car pack.

Better then repetitive battlepass grind like the crew 2 motorpass
A somewhat true cycle (would be almost fully true for Assetto Corsa Competizione)
You mean a payware Car pack every single month? No thx, i preffer a direct pass of 30 dollars for ever instead of 5 or 10 dollars every month
@@FranquitoMV2004 I honestly prefer it for longevity sake as battle pass are limited time purchases 99% of the time (if it was like lego 2kdrive's drive pass though, opinions would be different)

I prefer battle pass i actually liked it in the crew 2 i just wish there was more tiers 50 tiers isnt alot. Imo they should have all battle passes n u pick which one to activate and u can switch to another whenever u want
Well I mean what does Forza have to offer besides a car, you look at unbound and the crew 2 and you were given underglows, tire smoke, nitros etc. Forza just has car and that's it, the game doesn't offer you enough to justify a battle pass
Season pass for cars with cc for other crap (vanities)definitely gets max $$ for developers without making people mad
As a forza (not horizon) 1>7, motorsport, horizon 1,2,4 player, car packs have always been a thing. I think they have gotten more frequent, but where you may have gotten a 10 car pack every 2-3months, you get 4 car pack monthly now.
For open world racers where there are things to do like horizon, motorfest and unbound, season pass is best.
For closed circuit racers where there isnt anything to do other than race and win, car packs work
fh4 had like only one post car pass dlc pack unavailable with the ultimate edition (mostly due to the rest being repackaged car pass packs)
I 100% agree season passes are best for these games though
Battle passes are something I’m fine with, but then again I joined NFS Unbound late into the season and now I’m definitely not getting the Michele RS6

Paid content is the way for me, I don't have time to grind, I have a job, I have money to spend, with a battlepass when I log into a game I have to choose: do I do what I'd like to do or do I do what I have to do to unlock the content I'd like to own, in the video you talk of battlepass done right not in a time frame window that creates fomo, sure we can dream but I don't think they 'll do it to keep the engagement in the community to a costant level, you say it creates real content but it's fake content imho since it's stuff that is already in the game, if we wanted to do it, if it was fun to do, we would do it anyway, it turn the game into a job, we have to do it, we have to farm the right race to get the fake money to buy cars, the race with the best drop rate for parts (kiss me kombi is my home in the crew basically) I wish I could buy a boosted version of the legendary set that I want with CC or euro, seriously just take my money please, I feel like I have to slave away in a game so that the majority of players can have the illusion of progress, but then it's pay to win right? You play the game 10-100 times more than I do, believe me you are gonna win anyway even if I have a boosted set, love your videos man, peace.
