- Learn how to use the clone command in Minecraft 1.16/1.17/1.18/1.19/1.20! This clone command tutorial will show you how it works in depth! I'll go through the modes (masked, filtered, replace) and how to use force and move! You'll never have to search for "clone command not working" again! ;) This tutorial was recorded on java (pc), but bedrock/xbox/ps4/pe are all nearly identical (thank goodness!) I hope you find this to be a useful clone command example!

The minecraft clone command is one of the best minecraft commands for building. You can use it with command blocks to make nice doors, or working drawbridges, or even generic animations! I'll show you how to use the clone command in Minecraft java (or bedrock if you're like that.) You'll never have to google "minecraft clone command not working" again. One common error message is "The source and destination cannot overlap." and that's an easy fix! The clone command for houses (as demonstrated in the thumbnail) is just like any other clone command. After watching this you'll know where the clone command clones from! That's the hardest part, and what makes this a somewhat advanced command, but this is still a great way to learn the minecraft clone command for beginners.

Wow. Just wow. The bottom corner thing did baffle me but you showing me what to do with the F3 and the 3 colored lines was spot on, this is exactly what I needed and you did it perfectly. Thank you! Got a sub just for that.
your way of teaching is exactly what people need when watching a tutorial. you have the skills to be really informative, and you make it entertaining.
Great video as always. Right in time when i was starting to use /clone more :)

The filtered option just made me so confused when I was messing up around with the commands, thank you for explaining it for us!
you just gave me more motivation to continue my city project, thanks man!
Thank you so much dude I was hella confused about the destination part, even thinking the destination part gets the cords of the middle of your build, turns out it's just the corner with the lowest side lol, thanks again, man! Imma subscribe so I can get more info about Minecraft stuff
This was so helpful! I have always had trouble making clones work but I guess I was just doing it in a more complicated way than it needed to be. Thanks!!
Thank you so much! I’ve been so lost since the new update for bedrock! I’ve been trying to not replace blocks while making a build and your tutorial is the only one that helped!

YES! thank you. I've been into building more now and had figured out the fill command my self, and noticed the clone one. Just needed that extra help understanding how to use it!
My only problem now is what I want to clone is too big XD
hi, I just wanted to say that if you are still building something that needs to be cloned but is too big, just clone it part by part
it might work :)
You can also try using a structure block
I already knew some of these things, but what you said cleared up pretty much everything! THANKS BRO
Thanks for the clarification! Really helped me with my castle building
Moving blocks with filters is actually super useful if you want to see/show the inner workings of a structure you are building. Especially for blocks that are occupied previously.
Thx for the tutorial. Short and Sweet. I didnt know that this clone command even existed
You just saved me 4 full days of work...Thank you man!!

YOU, Yes you are a lifesaver. I am currently building an Airport in my Minecraft world and doing the lights is extremely hard, I have to do it on many surfaces and I am terrible at cloning, that is until I watched ur video. Actual 5-Star Teacher🎉
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!
Cool, thanks!
:)
Hard to control but more accurate... Thanks for this video.
Hell yea I am subscribing
I am pretty sure that Minecraft likes to favor the South East direction (x is pos, z is pos), and so when you clone a structure, it will take the lowest most spot that is the most North West of all the lowest points and duplicate the structure with the rest of the structure being South East of the the point you chose to duplicate the structure to. (I am probably wrong, I am not the best at commands)
Thank you so much :D
Thank you so much!!!
it rly helped me with my new ptoject
Yo, I actually didn't realize when you tabbed, it did the coords of the block you're looking at and I feel stupid lmao. I wondered why it was never the block I was standing on. I never used commands until I switched to the pc version a few months ago lol
Edit: Watched and this was super helpful, thanks!
Thanks for the video work up do good work
when I am cloning I use a 2x3 set of a material in an open area to test the direction that things are going to go. But now I think your hint about the 3D axis target might be a better guide. Going to go experiment.
Finally, I can clone my hotel in my flat world so I can finish my city faster. Thank you!
Very helpfull tutorial!
Thank you!
