Same 😔 I’m so ashamed this happened under one of my videos. We just wanted to have fun & collaborate with other creators. None of the competitors had anything mean to say about the other players, I wish the viewers wouldn’t express hatred toward anyone, much less the people that took the time to be part of this.

Hello I'm just here to say that I see a lot of people are upset with Ashlyn's actions and I feel it in me to defend her because she is honestly one of the sweetest streamers out there. First, this was her very FIRST Crunchy Race. She did not know that the numbers applied for the starting lanes. AND for anyone new to this channel, Chase Crossing had actually made the SAME mistakes in his first two races as well. Switchforce has also made this mistake! Second, she couldnt have placed the presents she found because they were all randomly put into her inventory. In the heat of the moment there was no way she couldve remembered which present went where. Guys this is Animal Crossing and I think this soft game deserves a loving community. Please dont spread anger and hate to anyone especially an angel like Ash. Everything worked out in the end. This was an amazing race and I'm so happy Ashlyn was a part of it! ♡

People are allowed to be upset at things and are allowed to provide feedback to content creators. No one has called her names or have been rude they have just expressed their frustration with her actions. Immediately jumping to the defense of a content creator to vilify the audience when the creator has clearly done wrong and people are just providing feedback is not conductive to a healthy discussion. No one is spreading anger and hate. People are frustrated sure but we are not brigading against Ashlynn in anyway and the audience understands that she still did amazing in this race.
@@TheEpicnesscontained Unfortunately most of this comment is flat out false. People actually have been calling her names if you read the comments, like a "terrible person" or "stupid" which we think is uncalled for, considering we think she's a great person, and certainly not stupid. She was the first to figure out the key part of the race. I do agree that people are allowed to be upset at things, which is why you shouldnt invalidate Mellocat's feelings and expression that shes upset that people are saying mean things about Ashlyn as a person, based on her actions in a game style she's never played. Bottom line is there's less reason to be upset about her accidentally taking wood (considering she went out of her way to make things right, which is likely what costed her the win) than there is reason to be upset that people are attacking her.
Crunchy Island I do agree that what she did was frustrating but calling her stupid is flat out wrong

Agreed! It’s supposed to be a fun game! And all of these players were racing to give the villagers away to their viewers! Every intention from every female steamer we’ve collaborated with had nothing but pure / wholesome intentions. I’m so surprised to see anyone thinking she’s a bad person based on accidentally digging in the wrong hole 😂 but we absolutely love all the female (& male & other) people we’ve collaborated with. I think this ACNH community is very new and it’s easy for people to cross the line in a new community, and it’s not just the viewers! We just want everyone here to be respectful of all people equally.
People have stated again and again that the frustration is at Ashlynn not immediately putting back the present not at Ashlynn herself. People should be allowed to give feedback and express their frustrations when a content creator messes up and the majority of the feedback has been cordial with no one being rude or calling Ashlynn names. Most of the feed back have in fact been from Ashlynn's fans themselves who wanted to see her win but was bummed out when she lost her lead because she had to turn back around from a mistake she made.
Also bringing in identity politics into this discussion is not very relevant considering YOU've had made several remarks against Abdallah (who is of middle eastern heritage) in the past about how he was unsportsmanlike even though he was only being competitive only to turn around and defend your white streamers the moment someone has feedback for them that isn't 100% positive and written in the nicest language. Also again you're choosing to compare Chase against Ashlynn, who is someone of Korean heritage against someone who is white yet again instead of choosing one of the many white male streamers who have also made the same mistake to compare against Ashlynn? With the current political discussion on race you have to understand that you shouldn't jump to defend based on gender without also being intersectional and also reflecting on yourself and your dealings with race. Comon Mellocat be better 👏.
@@TheEpicnesscontained I have never EVER made a comment regarding one's race. Let me put that out there first. That is a sensitive topic for me being mixed race myself. I did initially think Abdallah was a bit to fiery in his attitude towards the race you are referring to, but on later reflection after the race I recognized his competitive nature. I too am a very competitive person and he felt he was cheated on a luck based circumstance which is completely valid. And I know many comments are just criticizing Ash's motives BUT some comments have actually been quite rude. Crunchy himself has addressed these comments in his latest stream. I saw a comment that said she was terrible and she doesnt "seem too bright." That's not ok or respectful. There was no way she couldve easily replaced the gift because she hadn't opened the gifts in her own lane yet, and was randomly dropping gifts from other spots from her full inventory as she dug up new stuff. It was impossible to simply put back each gift she had taken, especially in the heat of the moment. I choose Chase because he is very well known in these races. To be honest I just forgot Switch Force also made the mistake so that's an error on my part. I had no idea Abdallah was Middle eastern and that Chase is Korean (he has yet to do a face reveal) so I choose to leave race out of this. I think its important to be racially aware, especially in the current times. But I had no idea what race Chase or Abdallah was. They are both amazing racers for sure and I would never criticize what they do on a race basis.
TheEpicnesscontained Mellocat is referring to comments under this video that say “Ashlyn is a terrible person.” Which I think is a pretty ugly thing to say. I think that counts as being rude & calling people names. We have defended both chase and abdallah whenever anyone on our channel or server has had an issue with how they competed in a race. We just have never received this many negative comments about a competitor under one of our race videos, so because of that, this feels like a first for us. It may have nothing to do with Ashlyn being a woman, but those who have been watching the races since the beginning know that multiple competitors have made similar mistakes (some not even being mistakes, but rather intentional decisions) while racing, and it was not reacted to in the way that Ashlyn’s mistakes were under this video. To us, it just seems uncalled for either way, and we will continue to defend every competitor who plays a fair game and respects their opponents. But yes, more understanding & love for ALL of the people would be greatly appreciated, and I think we are all capable of being more considerate and loving than we are.
@@jocelynnnoelle I truly wish it wasnt the case, but male streamers have actually made this mistake and no one has called them "annoying" at least on the level Ash has. And some of the time they stole materials was on purpose. Other female competitors in these races have also recieved more negative comments compared to the male players. I do know I seemed angry and upset when I wrote these comments but it is infuriating to me that wonderful people are getting hate for a fun game and wasn't the intentions of this channel. I agree it shouldn't be about gender, so why dont we spread love to everyone because I think they all did an amazing job!

These races are pretty high stakes as is. On top of being put under the stress of competition, the streamers also have to be on display for their followers and want to do what their audience directs them to. While you may believe that Ashlyn didn't immediately rebury the presents to be malicious and her sorrys were insincere, I believe she did want to fix her mistake as she evidently does later on. The way she is hesitant after being called out shows she is not sure what to do. She may have believed she should give the items directly to the other players. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m just gonna say I was there for chase but I love Patrick and I was feeling the second place for him ( watched both streams , one after the other ) but after watching this stream ash was actually in first and only fell out cause she messed up digging others peoples stuff and therefore had rectify it so second goes to her .
Who knows how the race would have went without that but the other 2 was way behind them and I would love to see her race again now that she understands... at least she wasn’t blatantly trying sabotage others like some people ( never chase ... he is a good stinky boy)
