However, when people fail those they care for, it is up to the rest of us to make sure that the means for healing is available and that the legal system prevails, because even the youngest child knows right from wrong, and this is so wrong. Sorry to interfere, this officer was Greek. Child predators come in all races. Alestas was the only school officer that tried to get close to me and other other female students. Now in high school, I realized that the SROs should not, and do not engage with their students on personal levels the way that he engaged with me, my friends and hundreds of female middle schoolers. It’s been six years. This was definitely not his first rodeo.
