    Tip - if you want to remove the acrylic pipes from the hose to clean it, just run it under a tap with warm water for a few mins. The hose will get soft and you’ll be able to get the pipes out easier.

    Great video Jordan! Those pipes are game changers! Now let’s think how can they get even better, cause we know they’re listening 🤔😉

    Does this attachment only come in the M size? I have the Premium L size, but was interested in this attachment as long as it will fit. Thanks!

    That's a good detailed review! The pipes are great. I always missed the lily pipe attachment and they did a great job bringing this in. In my tank they turned kind of translucent white...kind of milky white..
    Do you think a good bleaching can restore them. I have the ver1 pipes.

    • @JordanStirrat
      @JordanStirrat  Před rokem

      I havent experienced them turning white but I would definitely try bleaching and using a pipe cleaner

    Great tanks as always, inspiration! Do you have any details on "twisting" the pipes to slow the flow? Is it legit just turn the pipe holder? I have been looking for a method to do this for ages. Currently got black sponge in the clear outlet haha. Thanks!

    • @JordanStirrat
      @JordanStirrat  Před rokem +1

      Thank you very much! The oase filters allow you to twist the tube connection slightly to reduce the flow. This is the part you normally twist to remove the pipes but if twisted only slightly it will reduce the flow.

      Thank you! Most aquascaping or aquarium stores will list the products for the same price so any local store that stocks them would suffice. Failing that if you can't find them you could contact someone such as Horizon Aquatics and get it delivered from England 😊

    Well, you.need some leasons on law of hydraulics buddy.
    There are a few basic laws of fluid dynamics you should consider first: The amount of liquid flowing from the larger pipe to the smaller pipe will stay the same. At the same time, the pressure in the system will drop and the speed at which the liquid is traveling--its velocity--will increase.
    So for a Betta it will be better NOT to insert the reduction. Because it will cause higher flow velocity.

    Do you still like or use these?
    Notice yours, Jurjs and MJ all had basically the same titles on the videos, strange, given I’ve barely seen them for the last year+ on tanks - what makes them the best? Did Aquario ask for that title perhaps?
    I like the idea but the plastic worries me with scratching and cleaning brushes over time :/ TIA

    • @JordanStirrat
      @JordanStirrat  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Haha, it's just a clickable title, and aquario had no input other than gifting me the products. It's more of an open-ended question rather than a statement. They are very good and they fill a gap in the market. For some tanks, lily pipes may be a better option, and aesthetics play a large role. Glass just looks good! The aquario pipes hold up over time, whereas glass can break easily. It's a balance of pros and cons

      @@JordanStirratyeah get the clickable thing just really eery you all were saying the same thing about best pipes just got better etc. MJ came back as well as GreenAqua and a few other sayings overall pretty flimsy, cheap looking and scratch very easy. Would you agree? I love the design of the co2 but that’s about it. I think Glass lilys and inline is surely just as good? I need a visible bubble counter though as
      I’ve gassed tanks before due to not seeing what’s going on 😢

    • @JordanStirrat
      @JordanStirrat  Před 10 měsíci

      @DesignRobPearce At the time, this product was very inventive, and the co2 diffuser and the skimmer were both very cool! It's never going to look as premium as glass, but it fits a gap in the market. It's a good product and I don't have any issues with scratches etc.

      @@JordanStirratfair, I mean it’s not very old though right? Came to U.K. just over a year or so ago I think? I love the idea of it don’t get me wrong, but it’s not ‘cheap’ either which concerns me.
      You can get a set of Chihiros glass boys for same/less cost but naturally need an inline diffuser.
      Interesting you’re the first one to say no scratches, not even micro ones over it? Are you cleaning with brushes or? I’ve heard snapping and connections loosening too? I guess it feels like going back to the Eheim days of plastic in the tank 😂
      These would be ideal for an ultrasonic cleaner to not scratch them but not seen many use them in aquatics yet, bar I think one or two guys in the US.

    • @JordanStirrat
      @JordanStirrat  Před 10 měsíci +1

      @DesignRobPearce Yeah, there are micro scratches, but it's no deal breaker. I have had the product since it was first released before it came to the UK. It's one product of many, and if it's not for you, choose another product. Nowadays there are so many options and that's what brings out competition and new inventions. It certainly mitigates any chance of you hurting yourself, breaking glass pipes
