In this video we continue our journey into the lore of the God of war series. This was a non stop thrill ride as we discover an older yet wiser Kratos. Aside from the visuals my wife and I were completely blown away story telling and voice acting of each character. Santa monica studios truly created a masterpiece with this game. Leave your thoughts in the comment section and let us know what you think about the God of War franchise. - Hry
just to clarify about the norns (fates of this realm) they are different beings from the sisters Kratos killed..
they are now on a complete different mythology, since the greek one is all f up thanks to mr God of Rage lmao
Very important distinction
Ayyyyeeee: a 40-minute video. Y'all gone need it for how long this game and Ragnarok are.
yea, were gonna try and keep up the length. Hopefully you guys will continue to tune in.
I'm really enjoying the longer videos, since we see more details, thank you guys for sharing it with us
Right? My Ragnarok playthrough on GMGOW was easily 70+ hours.
You have no idea... It's way long than we thought 😅
If you notice Kratos has a more poetic mannerism than everyone else, also Kratos has a habit of taking hits for Atreus showing how his paternal instinct makes him act first
Fun fact, this game was shot in one take with no cuts
Fun fact: Norse mythology also has 3 sisters that are the Fates hehe
Yep- Greek mythology had Lachesis, Clotho, and Atropos; Norse mythology had Urd, Verdandi and Skuld.
"lamb's cress...IM A F ING GOD OF WAR" i love that one behind the scenes clip lmao
I'm really enjoying these. While the OG God of War games are cool and all and the story definitely has some interesting points, this GOW is on a whole other level, which I think you can already tell.
You're in for quite a ride!
Remember, the Norse Pantheon is its own Multiverse outside of the Greek one. The sisters of fate in this Multiverse are completely different.
one day they'll find out. . .i mean, i hope they do lol
@@vexvonvictory3135 yeah alot of people think Kratos just got on a boat and went to the Norway when he actually crossed multiple universes.
@@Anukinihun Not really, read God of War fallen God comic series, Kratos sailed to Egypt and apparently ALL the Gods know what Kratos did and the Egyptian Gods have no beef with Kratos. There has been some retcons...1 world many pantheons. Kratos destroyed the lands of greece and not the world
I think it was explained that there is one Earth, with multiple lands, (Greece, Norway, Egypt, Japan, etc.) but crossing into these lands leads you through a gateway to the mythological worlds and their respective pantheons.
The word "Draugr" is related to the Swedish word "Drar" which means 'drag/dragging', a fitting word for the Undead mindless corpses. They are spirits that try to hold on to the world of the living, not wanting to let go, and are mostly seen around burial mounds and/or crypts. More often than not also guarding valuable treasures.
So what you were speculating about warriors that never reached Valhalla is accurate.
Wow, what an explanation. Thank you for this!😊😊🙏🙏🙏🙏😊😊😊
It’s crazy to think that it’s already been 5-6 years since just the trailer for this game and the hype for it still resides in me whenever I watch reactions and gameplay for this game and Ragnarok
I've never seen the trailer I only found out about this game because my dad had bought it when it came out.
If you are going into this without any knowledge you are going to be blown away at the story.
Man I’m enjoying this series so much 😩😩
So glad y’all are doing this game it’s one of my favorites. Can’t wait for more videos it only gets better and better.
Brok oh Brok, such a foul mouthed absolutely lovable goober of a dwarf. Our first friend on this journey and already one of the most important :)
Don't get me started on this version of Kratos the lore bro, I love how human he is, and the layers of Atreus's character. You're gonna love this bunch of characters. I'll be lurking, can't wait to see more reactions from you guys.💖
"Lamb's Crest, I'm the fucking god of war."
Yay finally another GOW video can't wait for more please don't make us wait for a week in between
Been loving your guys reactions to the god of war series soo far. Excited for the new 2018 and Ragnorok as well. It’s like watching a movie or tv show with how well the cutscenes and gameplay flow together. Excited for the next video. Great work and keep it up guys!
So excited for y’all to continue this! looking forward to both god of war and mortal kombat 😄
Yessss I love watching you guys react to these😁 And by the way if no one told you yet.. Kratos is holding back so basically he's not showing his full power and not going rage crazy killer mode
The Draugr, also called draug, dréag, draugar; draugur, dreygur, draugen, or aptrganga(literally "again-walker") is an undead creature from Norse mythology. The Old Norse meanings of the word are Revenant, undead man, and ghost. Draugr live in their graves, often guarding treasure buried with them in their burial mound. They are reanimated corpses - unlike ghosts, they have a corporeal body with similar, physical abilities as possessed in life.
I'm so happy your watching these and I'm glad the videos are long because it's gonna be a long journey lol. But seriously this game is beautiful in every way and ragnarok builds on that with everything.
Remember, the last games were all set in the greek realm.. whereas this new series is set in the norse realms!! So any gods killed in the greek realm will not affect the norse realm. So the fates that kratos killed in the greek realm are not related in anyway to the norse fates (greek fates definetly stronger tho). How Kratos came to the Norse realm is a question vaguely answered in the comic book prequel to 2018 god of war and the 2018 god of war novel
Also kratos references this directly when asked by an individual we will meet next encounter. He asks kratos about how people moved from different lands where kratos is from. Kratos replies "Either by foot or boat."
Please do another video soon!!!! I love watching you guys.
His sickness has something to do with Kratos in a sense, thats all i can say without spoiling cuz i dont want to ruin a really amazing story for you guys, im excited to see for you guys to see the whole story how it develops, have a good day!
W for not spoiling
Thanks for not spoiling. My wife loves to read the comments.
i like this walkthrough. get to see more then just boss kills. the normal enemy kills are so damn satisfying
I cant wait for more of these videos. This and ragnarok are awesome. Kratos journey continues.
I love watching you and your wife’s reactions to this, keep it coming! I watch every time!!
I’m so excited for this series 👏🏽
Oooh I can't wait until y'all do Ragnarok. I'm a 40+ year old man and that game had me claiming there was something in my eye multiple times! 😂
Editor's Note: Tee reminds me so much of myself it's crazy.
Something to keep note of for this game and next one when you get to it, it has nothing to do with physical strength of Kratos.. It's mental and emotional part of himself he is battling with more than anything else.
In this diology, you can heal if you manage your emotions, iirc. The other guy is different. Edit: also, the fates are dead in the land of Greece, not of Norse.
This game is essentially like playing a series of epic fantasy films.
Don't get me wrong- I am a huge fan of the hack & slash of the previous games, but this and Ragnarok are a whole other level.
The fighting, the puzzles and the boss battles are one thing, but the story line, as well as the stories they pick up along the way (from various characters- again, no spoilers), is what makes the journey so incredible.
Enjoyed the reaction 😭🔥🤝🏽
Can’t wait for the next episode
About the draugr. They almost got it right. Draugrs are warriors as human, but the catch is they were so much of a warrior that when the Valkyries come to take their spirit to Valhalla, after fallen in battle, they fought the Valkyries off an their spirits turn into, well that. They were humans 1st thou
i am loving this series! lol cant wait for next one soon enough
Love your reactions been watching your videos on your god of war journey
Niceeeee, i'm glad you're doing longer length vids on this game, tis definitely necessary with how much detail there is to it.
A little thing i also wanna mention, although its a possible theory, i don't Kratos doesn't wanna show affection to his son cuz he thinks it'll make him weak, i just think he doesn't know how to properly. Hes been consumed with revenge and then closed himself off to stop that from happening again for such a massive amount of time, he simply doesn't really know how to open up emotionally
34:11 -"I'm the f*cking god of war"
Everytime I heard Lamb Cress I just instantly hear the next one in my head, lol.
I see that 30min suggestion going far 🤣👏🏾told you man people really enjoy the content so keep it up im supporting 🫡💯
Hhahahahah... now we're getting request for an hour and faster uploads! Lol, I'm like " when will i have time to go to work"
Nice reactions love from Brazil 🇧🇷
Can't wait to see more of your reactions
O' god i have so many new episodes to catch up ahhhh
Awesome video.
YEEES LOVING TO WATCH U GUYS
We need a hour long !!!
Really? Would you guys tune in that long?
34:20 I'm dissapointed that the studio did not keep the "I'm the fuckn' GOD of war damn it!" Part.
They shoulda kept what judge said man i laugh everytime i see the video, he says "lambs crest, im a fucking god of war."
Waited so long for this
Lol, 4 days🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@TNTGamingonline that’s long enough 💀😂
21:58 Ktatos wanted to show affection to Atria's but it's just that at this moment of time he just didn't know how to.
Keep them coming
Lamb's Cress...I'm the fucking God Of War
34:20 "Fine... Lamb's Crest... I'm a fucking god of war..."
Draugr are people that died in battle, but continue to fight even in death out of rage. They fought off the valkyries that came to take them to Valhalla, and refused to go to Hel.
1 hour video next would be awesome too!🙏🏿
We will do it if u guys tune in for it.
I knew the moment that I saw his blue ass, that I was going to love Brok.
No pressure at all… but I might need God Of War Vids at least every two days from y’all 👀👀👀😂😂😂😂😂I’m just saying… just throwing it out there
We're working on it. I can't wait to start playing this after I finish God of War 3
@@TNTGamingonline 7:21 About that part, that is just wrong, i don't know where these people got this from but there's a too many "fans" pushing their own headcannon over to other people as truth.
Most of Kratos`s enemies are undead warriors or other mythical creatures sent by the gods, The only time he fought against spartan warriors was inside an illusion in GOW Ascension and they were fakes.
Actually, he did kill The Last Spartan, but neither of them realised they were fighting each other until it was too late. However it's possible some spartans were indeed turned into undead servants for the gods, they wouldn't be the only ones fighting Kratos.
English is not my first languge, please excuse any grammatical errors.
The protection stave was to keep everything out from beasts, evil creatures, and even the gods by concealing them. Once thst final tree was cut, the stave was broken allowing draugr and the stranger access inside where all this madness started.
Yusss another 40min 🎉
The fact that kratos still managed to blame it on on the boy is hilarious
Atreus mother was a giant from this realm and that boy is loki....that why he can read that language...
draugr in norse mythology are basically zombies. in some interpretations like god of war they were dead warriors that were so caught up in combat during their death that the valkyries were unable to take them to valhalla
Just a couple of non-spoiler clarifications.
Brok is a dwarf.
Tortoise are on Land, Turtle is in Water, two different animals in the same genus. Not really all that important or life changing, just a pet peeve of mine that so many people seem to get it wrong.
Hey
Guys there's a secret Easter egg of god of war 3 in this game, in playstation es 2016 there's one of the boost of Hermes, that part isn't available on the full game but it's a great Easter egg, you can search it on CZcams and watch closely when Atreus enter on the house
Every time Kratos reaches to comfort his son and he stops himself is because he doesn't feel worthy to do so. Kratos has missed a decade of Atreus growing up. Christopher Judge helped bring this aspect of the character to life because he went through something similar because of his work on the Stargate tv series.
Guys, The fates of the greek world are dead, but this is (norse) another world completely separate.
Draugr in Norse mythos are sometimes the angry dead, a lost soul , or a soul who refuse to pass so they possess their bodies and reek havoc on the living or sometimes they are loyal warriors given charge to protect a tomb from being looted by thieves.
in Norse mythos there 3 places you can end up Valhalla (Odin's hall), Folkvangr (Freya's folk field) or Hel (Hela's domain....hell). This game doesn't stick close to the mythos with certain characters. Brok is a dwarf, The Norns are not the Greek fates, There are many gods and beings in mythos and who are gods of fate that have nothing to do with the other gods of fate from other religions
LMAO Tasha predicted Hildisvini being a shapeshifter way too quick
Atreus is partly spartan too. He had no chose but to be strong.
Also. There are dwarfs, giants, trolls and gods. It’s epic
They will explain the hell walkers later he'll is over run that's why they keep appearing
SHE NEEDS TO WATCH THIS AND THE GOD OF WAR RAGNOROCK
They are in a completely different realm than Greece when kratos ended his father Zues and impaled himself he ended up wondering the destroyed world and stumbled upon a boat he boarded and traveled across the cosmos to midgard which is the realm of the 9 realms of Norse Mythos/Paganism
It's not that odd you know, my dad used to call me boy all the time, in fact, it was when he used my government name that I knew I was in trouble😂. I hope to pass that tradition to my kids one day🤣.
I might not be 100% on this but you’re curious as to where Draugr come from. When a soldier falls on the battlefield their spirits are usually swept away to Valhalla by the Valkyries. However some resist the Valkyries and seek revenge on those that killed them. They fight the Valkyries and as punishment they’re forced to walk the earth in a state of undeath, known as Draugr.
34:11 who remebers when the acter said lambs cress .... im the fucking god of war. 😂
You were DEAD ON about the Draugr, they are people who died and didn't accept going to Valhalla with the Valkyries.....but the Valkyries have disappeared???🤔🤔 The enemies that use Magic like that female revenant and the yellow painted people are those who abused seor magic and lost their soul and humanity.
yeeea
Like the team
Now how long do I have to wait for next part
We've already finished it
We need more time
One theory i saw about why Kratos talks much less is because since he's not from this land, he doesn't really know the language as well as he does Greek.
Yep this true he talks more in Ragnarok because it’s less of a language barrier and Atreus taught him
It’s not that Kratos doesn’t want to be emotional with his son he just doesn’t know how to his whole life he has only known brief moments of love and kindness and he harbors too much pain and anger and not to mention they don’t even really know each other Kratos has been gone for most of Atreus’s life and the boys mother raised him
Lol he knows how to be emotional. He was literally emotional with his daughter and as seen in the flashbacks and comics, he use to play with her. He just doesn't know how to raise a son compared to a daughter considering the fact that his father was a shitty to his son's. Zeus beat up Hephaestus and sent him to hades, disowned ares and made him turn against him, never recognized Hercules and made him grow up to have daddy issues and we all know what happened with kratos. Zeus was more laid back with his daughters.
next please
You should do Red Dead Redemption 2.
I think the draugrs r roaming Midgard because all 9 Valkyries are in a prison like state hidden underground in mostly all the realms. Since they are in prison they can’t ferry the dead to Valhalla or Helheim. Who imprisoned the Valkyries? Can’t spoil that lol
"he doesn't want to show affection cause it'll make him soft" I like your way of thinking but i think he has touble showing affection not that he doesnt want to he just doesnt know how
Draugr (Ice/white walkers) are pretty much Nordic zombies.
7:21 About that part, that is completely wrong, i don't know where these people got this from but there's a too many "fans" pushing their own headcannon over to other people as truth.

Duagr means undead
Kratos killed the Fates of the Greek gods, the ones he mentioned in this video are the ones from Norse mythology
Btw there's a God of war 4 comic to just to let you know
Now how long do I have to wait for the next part and spoiler alert Kratos is a god.
Episodes drop 2 a week. Sooner if ur a member for early access
Duh 😂. His a son of Zeus lol.
@@calebstephan2083 🤦
Y’all really should look up some Norse mythology it’ll make things make so much more sense…CZcams could give you a 15 min synopsis and you’ll be in the game
we were actually looking for some videos about norse mythology
@@TNTGamingonline I can tell u all about my religion, but mine is different in many ways.
@@TNTGamingonline The vikings was not all that has been told about them, never trust history written on paper and told by the victors, the christian mythology or the people that where christian wanted world domination, not the vikings.
This is not a spoiler but actually if you listen closely Atreus can read, well actually feel like you guts said, the language of the giants. If you remember back to the first one he read it said giants marketplace
My man really loves meat 😂
No Spoilers!
You guys know there is god of war comics right?
nope. Send a link

Just subscribe
his son doesn’t know he’s a god, and that’s why the boy gets sick, because his godhood is in him, but he doesn’t know about it
The Greek mythology does not have any bearing in this world. The Fates of the Greeks are different from the fates of the Norse. The desolation that you see now is a result of the events happening in the Norse realm
