What legends are made of. These adidas shoes pay homage to the Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball team that wore Crazy 8 models during their 1998 undefeated season. Considered to be one of the greatest women's college basketball teams, they went 39-0 to eventually win the national championship.

I remember getting the Adidas KB8 one (as it was known back then) in fall of 1997. It was the black/white colorway. This shoe is special because I wore those shoes when I dunked a pickle ball on a 10 foot rim. I was a Jr in HS and I was on the school JV. This happened after 14 months of vertical jumping training. It was my most fun memory as a player.
I never made varsity so I didn't play Sr year. I never dunked a regular sized ball but a pickle ball is not too bad. Too bad I never recorded that feat on video. I ended hurting my knees so bad that even though I could've continued training to jump high enough to dunk. But I was too sad about not making it in basketball.

I remember back in 2011 I had a pair of Crazy 8's in the "grey, black, white" colorway
So many compliments in those and mind you everyone was focused on Foamposites and Jordans....so my Crazy 8s really stood out 😊

adidas Bball is finally releasing contemporary and retro heat. It’s good to see them tapping into The Culture.
I wonder if the Feet You Wear logo harkens back to how the shoe was originally presented to R.I.P.-Kobe.
Jacques Chassaing’s team did amazing stuff for R.I.P.-Peter Moore.
They should continue using only premium materials for these retros. Strike while The Swoosh is trying to figure out its transition.

I wanted these shoes for so long, but I always remember these being called Crazy 8. I remember bc my homie back in the 90s LOVVVVVEEEEEDDDD Kobe and he would bring these to the court to wear on court. I’m so glad these kinda got slept on bc I just bought this pair and the black pair for $91 each.

Couldn’t get during the drop today but not sure if they were released in size 16 anyway. No current Adidas’s are being released in 16. Just cleats if you go to their website.

3:51 the Feet You Wear logo is there maybe as respect of Kobe. Throwing out an assumption here...I am thinking Adidas didn't want the shoe to be too Kobe since he's not with Adidas anymore but also since he died Adidas didn't want to offend people that they are trying to make money off a dead man.

Since the more “baggy” jeans are back, those are a great choice. I personally like to go with a looser fit cargo pant 👌🏾
