    One of the nice things about this map is that the enemy keeps cycling their ERNs so the end still has some resistance.

    One thing this map does that I haven't seen on many others is reusing ERNs. When turrets die the ERNs immediately fly away to another boy. It's simple, but marking other units as "want" for an ERN really does a lot

    I've actually been thinking about Creeper World 4's strategy quite a bit recently.
    If you look at the resource use graphs in the top left when the Air Sacs are released (17:50) hollllllllly fuck look at how much energy and missile ammo they require!
    Seriously, think about how easily the Humans are able to sustain vs just a huge wall of creep if they have a strong spread of all the tools. Look at their resources used for the last minute or so before the Air Sacs come out.
    It may not look super impressive, but it's legitimately getting like, fucking _doubled_ just bc the Air Sacs made ALL their snipers have to start spending just tons of energy, and they had to use a fuck ton of missiles!
    Idk how to make the PAC maps, but I'm gonna work on making some scenarios with what are hopefully some really interesting opportunities for strategizing around these things. >,>

      Very true but then again it did spawn 5 of them which is alot usually these kind of maps give you 1/2 but if i think about it they're kinda hard to balance if you allow the boost to be more effective/spawn more airsacks it demolishes the economy and it will spawn a ton of creep but too few they're pretty much hot garbage
      Then again these maps are made for fun and not challenge since it's always a win

      Yea kinda the same with spores. Even if they don´t land and destroy anything. Every missile shot is arg not going into shields. And that alone holds some value.
      And blobs taking sniper shots also is a hit on energy economy.

      Except the air sacs are just worse versions of the spore launchers. Instead of spending like 20 boosts to make 6 blobs every 2 minutes or so you could instead use the boosts to make 20 spores every minute. Especially since spores are just as capable of hurting an economy as air sacs.

      @@jyquin5012 With this specific arrangement of an LPAC map, yeah.
      I'm talking about in general though, as a concept you could use to make interesting challenges for either side.
      Also, if the humans run out of missile ammo, the Air Sacs can stick around and get even more value :0

    The way Tom was sat at the start saying "I am not a fan of loosing instantly" and then just not using an egg to hit the nullifier was making me go "Hurry up! Or what you don't want will happen!"

      They aren't very good for offense, but excel at recourse drain and distraction. They take dozen hits to take down, hits that would take a spore down, and throw creep behind the lines if not shot down, causing the guns to turn back. Not very effective when the enemy has a lot of excess resources, but if near the limit, very effective

      @@MyKoira Whenever I'm up against airsacs I hate them because there is no single effective counter but because the play as creeper map is set up with comprehensive sniper missile, mortar and anti-creeper coverage they are a nuisance.

    I definitely agree with Tom that while most LPAC maps are a bit easier, they're a really satisfying time - especially with the egg daisy chains.

    One of my favourite type of maps, just because I like to lay out rocks and eggs waaay away from where I've got creep, and when we have just a touch of creep near them, sudden chain reaction

    Not sure if anybody else knows but the rocks do have a target priority (1.cannons,2.ac sprayer,3.mortar) I can't remember the rest. If you know that you can use them with a bit more strategy.

      I love these things in concept (I don't have the game), I like seeing Tom use them. That may make him consider them next time, and I want to see him spend everything on buffing them, I legitimately think that could drain the enemies nicely:)

      @@gregoirebasseville4797 I have the game and playing against them I find they are legitimately one of the worst things in the game because they require missile coverage, sniper coverage and something to clean up the mess on the ground.
      All while other things need all of that

    I like the difference in pacing you get from these PAC maps because on the other maps, if the humans were losing resources like this, instead of an attrition war, Tom would have dozens of ERN's by then to do some super wave that would just steamroll it. Or he would skimmer assault and steamroll well before they ran out of ammo. This map let him play with the economy a bit more than we usually see.

    If I remember correctly, rocks aren’t truly random and for for certain tower types first. Cannon, then Mortar, sniper, nullifier…

    I find it kind of funny and ironic how Tom keeps disparaging air sacks (I mean, honestly, they aren't great, especially in these maps) when they wrecked his stuff (albeit briefly) two or three videos ago. I'm half expecting a cut to that moment each time.

      Part of it is that (L)PAC maps tend to have very good air/unit defence unless there is an intentional weak spot. So there's no equivalent of the "whoops, I missed seeing that spore tower/blob nest/skimmer factory/air sack cauldron," that can hit human human players. OTOH, without that strong defence it would be too easy to overwhelm the defences, (especially in LPAC).

    The Airsac Cauldron not being set to 1 so its final setup was 6 every minute meant there was effectively 1 airsac every 10 seconds which is just a MASSIVE drain of resources.

    These maps may be "easy" in the sense that you always win, but I feel like the majority of normal maps are basically just a matter of time too after you have your initial defenses in place.

    Air sacs are quite weak since their cargo can be sniped before dropped and it doesnt produce creep. But once they get a gap they drop like 5 eggs worth of creep constantly.

      Well the worth is more in the insane amount of resources it takes to take down air sac since that means you have snipes and missile tirrets firing quite a few shots just to destroy one air sac

    Is there a limit to how fast you can make airsacks spawn?
    Because already at 6 ever 15sec they would've spawned faster than they got killed and reached a critical mass quickly.

    I personally would like to see a map where you start with air sacs and a very slow emitter. Preferably a map with a realistic and sniper setup (meaning dense at the back, spotty at the front). I wonder what they are capable of when you have the entire map to make them good and when the map is designed around their use.
    Also, I get the feeling that most maps aren't made in a way that is anywhere close to realistic. In my opinion, the best way to create a PAC map would be to make an easy or medium difficulty map for the humans, play until you're in a position to disable the final emitter, turn it into a PAC map and slightly weaken everything that produces creep. That way you end up with a base for a map with realistic weak points. Instead, I get the feeling that most people that create PAC maps just place stuff where they feel like and only play the map as the creep. While that can result in a good map if it's properly designed, it straight up makes things like the air sacs and spores useless in any map that isn't well designed.

    I feel like you could really get some good goofyness in by continually buffing the air sac spawner. Since the timer goes down you could end up with an exponential production in quite a short time.

    Air sacs are often bad for the same reasons spore launchers are often bad on PAC maps: mapmakers put in way too fucking many missile launchers and they never get to do anything.

    So if you were nullified at the beginning would you be able to even get out of it? Since eggs and rocks need to be near Creep you couldn't even pop them could you?

    Really love LPAC maps myself, but your egg game is essentially backwards. Deploy your eggs around the target, regardless of distance to the nearest creep. Once you've got enough eggs in place to kill the (pylon, nullifier, ERN'd shooter, etc), you build a daisy-chain from the target back towards the creeping mass. Last egg goes into place, pops, and the entire line goes POP, and the filthy humanses go "OMGWTFMATE!" and die filthy humanses deaths.

    The point of air sacs is to overwhelm the air defense network and the sniper network so that blobs and skimmers and things of that nature can slip in or the other way around

    shields can't be stunned by skimmers.
    nothing can be stunned by blobs
    shield can be stunned by spore on impact destroying the spore

    tom makes me want to buy CW4 just to make maps for him to play...
    map that teaches him how mesh works.
    map that makes you use field gen to move anticreep and only allowed air-sac's so he understand they're actually super powerful after a certain number of boosts.
    map that has proper defenses that aren't made completely useless by spamming 1 type of bullsheet.

    Loved this map, tried searching for it in CW4 but my god the search function is TERRIBLE o.O Why does it not find anything you type in ANY field (Author, tag, etc) ??

      Actually press the search button after typing in what you are searching for and it works perfectly. Hardest part is finding out what you are trying to find.

      @@cjjuszczak Either your internet is really bad, you got some boxes checked in the search menu that shouldn't be checked, you still got the name wrong, or the map got removed.
