- How to escape from Kesa Gatame. Here I am showing a really simple reaction, which allows you to escape from kesa gatame. Please note that this will not work if you let your opponent settle into the hold down. It has to be done instantaneously, as soon as you feel them moving into the hold down. It is more along the lines of a prevention, that an escpae from a secure hold down. enjoy!

Awesome!
Pretty sweet, i'll let you know how this works out
I am a smaller person and have only been able to get this on even smaller people or when someone makes a big mistake and isn't very seasoned or athletic to recover quickly. Is it a technique/repetition issue or is this a low percentage escape?
But the Uke's left leg position os wrong.
He must spread both legs. Right leg to front of himself, close to the Tori's sholder..... and his left leg to his back, putting down his Head right side by side até the oponent, keeping his body close to the Tori.
If Tori reacts, make the transition to Makura Kesa Gatame, increasing the pression to the Tori's chest.
