It weakens it either way, a garden hose is more than enough to properly and adequately clean behind the mouldings with the least amount of wear.
This man is just attempting to sound superior in knowledgeablility than others for whatever ego complex he has. He didn't explain the process or why, he just repeated the same things over again.
It's basic double sided tape underneath most exterior mouldings; most, not all. Some have double sided tape and plastic automotive clips, others just have the clips. In these cases, again... Just the extremely low pressure of a garden hose is more than adequate to get behind the mouldings. If rain water can penetrate, so can your garden hose. Either way, basic double sided tape is not the strongest material, in fact... It is extremely easy to tear and not recommended to have any pressure applied to it, especially on older, weather worn mouldings.
You don't really need a pressure washer to wash a vehicle at all. They just make the job faster, but you need to take mind in your pressures and locations of use. I would never recommend using a pressure washer on an engine bay as so many detailers do. Such a bad idea. Too many fragile rubbers, plastics and seals to accidentally and unknowingly damage. Engines are not just an analogue machine anymore and need to be handled with a modicum of care.

For car washing gpm is far more important than psi. Gpm, Gallons per minute, will help rinse/rise and loose dirt/debris. Psi, pounds per square inch, is less important because the damage it could cause as well as affect the water pattern as explained in the video. A good psi is around ~1700 and preferably anything with 1.7-2.0+ gpm. There’s amazing videos on the here that can help you find products/attachments to upgrade your pressure washer to perform its best for car specific needs, just look them up đŸ‘đŸœ

Yes cause there is no professional detailer that uses a hose. A pressure washer is the way to go just be smart. Don't spary your car with 3500psi I'd never go over 1100psi. It's perfectly safe to use a pressure washer.
