Thank you both for posting these videos. I find them very helpful. I'm at the University of Ottawa doing m PhD in Education. Any tips for writing the PhD proposal? Not sure if this is done in the UK system, but in Canada PhD students have to write up a research proposal (20 pages) and then present it at a seminar in front of out committee before starting our ethics application and gathering data for the dissertation. Thanks again and I hope there will be more videos.
& it is the PHDs like u that mankind has stopped progressing ...Late 18th century & WW2 is when most hi impact research was done, whose fruits mankind reaped in the wake of those in the form of DOUBLING LIFE EXPECTANCY & enhancing life quality many folds, when there were no MBAs, no DIVERSITY, no EDUCATION PHDs.....With the modern education experts methods everyone is made to reinvent the wheel & reinventing tool for every problem u encounter u can go only that far in lifetime. .... THE MOST EFFICIENT METHOD IS TO SPOON FEED PEOPLE ENTIRE WORLD'S RELIABLE KNOWLEDGE using most efficient method of video lectures & videos of experiments 1st & only after that they should be asked to solve a NEW PROBLEM. If each of us solve just 1 never solved b4 problem in life & freely share that sol with everyone else we all will collectively live for ever
why would you do a PhD? im really enjoying the third year of my MPhys so far, with the new topics like spec rel and later gen rel, and doing actual physics being the primary reasons why. I always thought I would just do a grad scheme but im considering academia now
