    Good video and learnt a few things, but one thing I can't sort out is to locate where in the window frame the window is sticking. I have two more windows with the same problem - and the locking mechanism is buckling.

    • @JamesTrickful
      @JamesTrickful Před 3 lety +1

      Hey Rickard - basically the weather groove in this case just allows an escape for water between with window and the jam a place to go. Without a weather groove, water can get stuck, move towards the inner side of a jam causing swelling and more damage.

      @@ScottBrownCarpentry they are small bends to direct the dust flow from the ports on your tools. In this video when you planed the sash in place it would of let the hose hang down rather than going straight out the side of the tool. With 2 you can make the dust come out the left side of the planer. Just image search makita elbow. Also search makita tool cuff 4243799 and p-70421 as these are both handy. The hose for the dvc350 part 195437-5 is an awesome addition as well as it's super flexible and can extend your festool hose.

  • @davidespinozareyes2150

    Scott.... is the weather grove for the rain to have a place to run down???

    • @frameriteairdrie578
      @frameriteairdrie578 Před 5 lety +2

      Yes. Because there's no weather striping or sealing on the outside, water can migrate in the crack between the window and the jam. If it gets chronic, then the water will collect in the groove and start trickling down, to where it can run out, rather than continually creeping towards the inside. The less the water creeps in, the less swelling and damage there will be.
