I think the reason for the barage of penalties was when you crossed the line on the pit exit the game then assumes you're on the track as per normal therefore it assumed you had somehow glitched through the wall and massively cut t1 on the inside (6s combined) then ran wide on the outside of t2 (3s). Thus 9s of time penalties. A similar bug is on monaco where if you run wide on the pit exit and then continue through the pit exit you cut a 3s penalty for cutting saint de vote
That’s correct. It’s happened to me and, as far as I’m aware, that’s why you get a penalty. 👍
Yeah that's a weird one. I was wondering whether it was 2 for corner cutting on entry, 5 for speeding and then 2 on exit. But watching it back, it warned going in but didn't show any penalties. I paused as it crossed the line at 52kph but again, didn't flash up any pit lane speeding and on the exit, it just said corner cutting multiple times 3 points, but then showed 9 points. So not sure whether it was an accumulation that only showed up when back on the track or just a plain simple bug.
Exactly, IRL would be a 3 second penalty, so P1 deserved!.

Track looks really nice ingame. But it looks really scary for real life racing, one mistake going wheel to wheel and you will hit a damn wall at 280 kph. No escape roads nor safety barriers at all.

the track irl is going to use the barrier system that nascar and indycar use at ovals called safer barriers. they definitely work as since they’ve been implemented in nascar there have been some nasty crashes and zero deaths
@@quackplayshorn You rarely experience head on impacts in Nascar, whereas it seems there are a few places here where a mechanical fault, puncture, or collision with another car could send a driver head first into a barrier at top speed with very little time for braking. Not unheard of on other tracks, but this seems like a step up

Personally I think overheating is gonna be a big issue for Lewis. If Max outqualifies Lewis Max is winning this race. If theres safety cars Lewis isnt winning cuz hes going to have to stop before Max and hed come behind others holding him up massively

@@paoaiipi5580 Merc engine wear extremely fast and when the walls are this close dirty air is way worse. Also keep in mind the car runs in very high revs for 90% of the lap.
The turns where you stick the right/left side tyres on the curbs to turn in tandem is so satisfying on this track, of course your smooth steering emphasise that! Great video!
Wow, I expected the ai to be pretty boring, as is with most of these sort of circuits (Suzuka, zandvoort...) but they actually seem like great fun, there were a couple of battles that lasted almost a whole lap.

This is literally this past weekend, but as you can clearly see Jarno was about 10kph faster than the RedBull on the straight with DRS, not 7kph WITHOUT IT...
This track makes my heart ache literally being second fastest circuit and fastest Street circuit in calendar. Drivers will be under immense pressure. Chances of contact here is quite eminent

@@zachdoran10 had one instance in a career mode race in Brazil where I was on a hot lap in Brazil and coming down the Curva del Sol I believe towards turn 4, and Ricciardo came out of the pits and immediately went onto the racing line and I scraped past him, my rear wheel completely obliterated his right side wheels and he had to retire, I just kept going with my lap and somehow had no damage lol

I believe this track suffers from what I call, "the Imola disease", very tricky but amazing track with overtaking problems
What I had a week ago on f1 2020 was with the f2 world tour (Canada Feature race) when I pitted in the first lap from super soft to soft (and wing damage) and on the pre last lap (I fought my way all the way up to P2) I got a warning because i didnt use 2 different compounds. Then i got disqualified and i did NOT go a 2nd time in the pits

On the jeddah track, if you cross the line on pit exit dont go back on the pit exit, it will usually give you 2 penalty for it but for whatever reason it gave you 3
When the game gives you that crossed pit exit line warning it treats you as if you’re on the racetrack thereafter, so the game thinks you cut the corner by doing so, hence the loads of penalties

I think the one where kerb would be track limit are the ones that are inside the circuit not outside like they usually are
