Just hearing the intro takes me back to Peter piper pizza and the arcades found in the mall and every movie theater in our town. Brings tears to my eyes.
Sitting on that cabinet, inserting that coing and hearing that high fidelity full off bassy stuff coming leveled beside your ears was MAGIC. Arcades had a magic of their own.
I had this game on Nintendo 64 in the 90s as a kid. From what I see in the comment section, I know I'm not alone missing the old days. So much fun choosing your car, customizing it, and you know in your mind, you about race like there's know tomorrow.
I remember playing the shit out of this game as a kid at pizza hut since it was only 3 blocks away and i never tired to win. It was first time i saw anything garphic so after my first time hitting a deer, thats was all i ever did in the race all the way up till my pizza hut closed because it was so cool to see animal body parts flying
Whoever came up with this title screen track knew what they were doing. You could hear this loud and clear across an entire arcade, even over the midway cabinets for Hydro Thunder and Offroad Thunder with the built in subwoofers.
They don't make videos games like this anymore. The 90's will never be forgotten.
