Miami Beach from Brickell via Public Transportation for $2.25 - Raw & Unedited

- Äas pĆidĂĄn 14. 03. 2022
- The South Beach neighborhood of Miami Beach is one of the most popular destinations in South Florida. In this video, I show how it is possible to get there with public transportation from the trendy Brickell area. I start at the Brickell Metrorail station, take the train one stop, and then transfer to a bus to Miami Beach.

What a difference smooth and not crazy crowded đđ»
Beautiful city and great transit system. Was just in Miami for the first time a couple weeks ago. We put 100 miles on rental bicycles. Great seeing all the places we rode again in your videos.
Excellent! Sounds like you had a great time on the bikes.
Did you ride bikes to Matheson Hammock County Park and Key Biscayne?
Not bad at all! Thanks for the tour of Miami's Public Transportation đ
2:20 That's a newer train, cool!
Happy you enjoyed it!
@@ActionKid Absolutely! đ
One of the most iconic sight by LRT/buses in Miami, an incredible experience, only at $2.25 per trip, lots of exercise by legs...thanks AK....regards from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
It was a very efficient and pleasant ride in the Miami area
So how long was the entire trip?
Great Ride for just $2.25, U can't get a deal like that in most US Cities with the nice views to Boot! & Metro & Bus so clean,[of course not running 24/7 & much newer [Metro] or Packed Smelly NYC Buses...THX!
This is very very useful for tourists, who don't want to rent a car, thanks for sharing
The bus ride was quite informative with great weather for the view. I usually don't agree with running for a bus, but I'm glad you caught it. The train had nice sights as well. Great video really enjoyed.
Thanks, I was actually stunned with how beautiful the views were from the train and the bus.
This is an informative trip...The last time I was in Miami was in 1998...I would stay a month for a few summers just to be by the water....I would take a bus to Burdines ( now Macy's) and walk along Lincoln Road...I would often take a bus to bayside mall and Aventura mall..I never took a the trains. SO much has changed. so many buildings....
Riding Brightline is a pure joy. Try it, you'll love it. A trip from downtown Miami to WPB is fun with just a short walk to all of the bars and restaurants on Clematis Street.
@@dccopeland6447 Thank you....yes..I hear WPB is beautiful.
Superb views with the train. Wish it was a longer ride, cause it's different view from up top and much wider.
The bus travel is nice too. Kiddie, you amaze me again! Even in this state you are full of information and know each place. :)
So happy you enjoyed the ride I'll do longer train rides eventually once I get situated
I love the way You call AK Kiddie!!
đđ
@@barbarapettry6817 Thank you. I don't know how i started, but now i can't stop :D
The train ride was awesome. If you'd ever feel like it, I would love to watch a longer ride because the view is amazing.
I'd have to do a longer ride soon!
Bayfront Park is getting ready for the Ultra music festival
lol đđ€ Back in my day, that bus stop-signal-request-cord use to ding dong like a analog clock, son.
Those buses remind me of the (very uncomfortable) Silver Line trollies in Boston. Nice ride though.
Woohoo for an elevated train and bus ride for only $2.25! đ Would like to see the Metro Mover ride some time as well! The station, train, and bus look clean and you also get great views of the city. đ Thank you for sharing another informative transportation video, AK! đ€
My pleasure! I'll have to make some more public transit videos
The Chicagoan in me is shocked at how clean the train station and actual train itself is đ©đ
The train in Miami looks nice. I will certainly visit there someday. The buses in Miami sorta remind me of the ones in Jacksonville.
Damn Miami looking fresh
Thank you AK , love how you explore your new city and share it with us , so appreciate the videos xoxo
My pleasure
Awesome video, thanks for posting. I used to take this route often when I had my condo in Brickell. Unfortunately, the bus route is extremely slow on weekends and during rush hour. The area really needs dedicated bus lanes and/or a rail option to Miami Beach. Going over the bridge takes forever.
I have a citibike subscription for under 20 bucks a month. If I were going from Brickell to MIami Beach, I'd take the metromover for free to Omni and then ride Citibike over the Venetian to my destination.
Thanks for the train and bus ride, beautiful city with so many open spaces and wide sidewalks. The bay looked gorgeous! And that's as close as I will ever get to a cruise ship, seeing it from the bridge. Not my lifestyle but so many people do enjoy those ships. You've chosen a beautiful place to relocate!
Seeing those cruise ships close up really makes you realize how massive they are!
Awesome video, thank you. public transit videos are very helpful to many.
Nice bus ride seeing the beautiful street view of Miami. Enjoyable virtual tour with you ActionKid. Tnx 4sharing.
Very good detail. Thanks for the excellent work.
Informational and good video about the Miami transportation đ!! And the fare $2,25 is not bad at all , including free transfer which is always good đ!! Thank you A K for sharing this enjoyable video đŽđ!!!
Having a free transfer is always good!
Really helpful thank you!
The hand straps above the seats are similar to the ones I saw when my family rode the Myrtle Ave El in Brooklyn back in 1968 from Downtown Brooklyn to the surface terminal at Metropolitan Ave. in Queens. I was a boy at that time.
Thank you for sharing! Great nice place to Miami and downtown and Transportation enjoy! Bus riding đđâ”âČđđŽđđŽđŽđŽđđ
Thank you for sharing â„ïž from Spain đđ
Very useful, thanks đđ»
This is great! Thank you!!
AK I never knew that they had subway style trains in Miami thanks for the experience like usual
I always assume US cities have basically 0 public transportation unless I have evidence otherwise. I know that Chicago and DC have trains because Iâve been there and ridden them. New York subway is famous. Pretty much everywhere else Iâve been has been with a car, and I drove (or walked) everywhere. I am learning that this isnât the case, and public transit is more of a thing here than I thought.
22:40 - KNIGHT Concert Hall, named for the owners of the Miami Herald newspaper. (Knight-Ridder publishers)
I know you donât miss NY but I do.
Those gates are the worst design ever . No good in a made rush scenario , but a great reminder for those who are unfamiliar with them . Miami love this place , thanks Ak for showing us how you get out n about on public transport your this best travel guide. đđ
Nice tour... haven't visited Miami in years...need to visit again to see the changes.
Looks like the raised platforms subways here in Washington, DC. Nice scenery of Brickell as the train passes thru. đ
Yes, looks very similar to the platforms in the DMV area....honestly that stop reminds me of the Tysons Corner area.
@@davidrofulowitz7538 Used to work in Tyson's Corner, across from the Tyson's Malls geesh, 1990 - 1992 when bank moved from DC, used to be a major bank, First American Bank. I went out there in 2016 and dang, did It change out there, as it also has changed in DC. :)
They're very similar to the Washington Metro
@@ActionKid Kevin, been to DC?
@@LittleTut I also used to work in Tysons Corner from 89-92 and then again from 02-06. I'd been away from the DMV area for roughly 7 years, and when I went back in 2019 I couldn't believe how much Tysons Corner had changed, what with Metro there and all. It looks like a mini-DC now.
so stoked for a non bus stream again
*I ENJOYED THE COOL VIDEO đ„° đč đ đ HAVE A GOOD DAY đ PEACE đ€*
Seeing all those cruise ships make me wish for cruising to return to normal. I have been on about 5 cruises so far.
Action kid your mbta train progress is my favorite I almost ride mbta everyday Iâm in Boston keep up the good work Iâm sure your mother will be pround!
One of the best walks is from town to Miami Beach via the Venetian. Long but so peacefulâŠfor the most part. I walk it every time we visit Miami
I love that walk!
32:44 one time we were on a drive to Little Havana driving past the port of Miami and we saw a bright green speedboat ripping it along the water there. It was a cool sight.
Would love to see a video taking transit from MIA to Miami Beach; visiting Miami in June and would be super helpful.
Love the videos, thank you :)
He just did, lol
The reason buses to the Beach use letters is because at one time, the Miami Beach bus company was separate from Miami's. When I went to Miami Beach High around 1970, I used to ride home on the L bus, and I see from a current map that it still follows the same route, as do most of the other letter buses. One change from 1970? The cruise ships are much taller!
Nice ride. Clean bus.âïž
Thanks for this, Kenneth! I had seen the train on video before (because of another CZcamsr in Miami), but I had never seen one of the Miami busses. It's interesting that the bus has an extra step inside! (Maybe all the busses have that step these days, I wouldn't know, because I haven't been on one in ages.) ... Glad you caught the bus before it took off. Nice ride, too (except for that one bump/pothole early on). Hopefully we can see the double decker some time, like in the UK. And I'm glad the video is unedited. By the way, were you talking through a mask? ... Hopefully I didn't miss a live stream of yours yesterday, I didn't notice one. Cheers from northeast Ohio!
Oh and, at 22:34, that white car was out way too far, the bus almost clipped it.
Glad you enjoyed it! I'll have to make some more public transit videos.
@@ActionKid , thanks. But also, I was wondering if you had a mask on, because you sounded slightly different?
Were those the homeless blocking the door and occupying seats with their belongings? The view from the train is beautiful
Great video AK
great video!
Have you tried taking the Poseidon Ferry from Downtown to South Beach? It just started operating a few months ago and itâs pretty cheap
This was actually really cool. I used to take the metro mover all the time it was great! đ
The Metro Mover is awesome!
Did You See Me With My Red Shirt??? You Filmed On March 12!!! You Filmed By The Time We Were Riding The Escalators With My Youth Friends From Church To Catch The Train Back To Dadeland North Station Southbound!!!

Cool as ever
Hi AK. I'm always happy to see a new adventure in your new city. Check out the Zoo in Miami. It's very nice ! đŠđŻđ»
*Downtown Miami looks very clean based on what I see from this video* đđŸ
Clean from Birds Eye but dirty & unorganized from Human Eye đđ
It's safe to say Miami has blundered on it's opportunity to expand it's metrorail system like it promised to in the past. Now it's so expensive, it would take so long.
Miami is a ghost town. Everyone in their cars, little to no pedestrians. Good luck
Great rides
Kenny you need to come back to NY and do your videos coz you viewership has always been centered around showing the big đ Apple.
Wow! Such a different vibe in Miami, I love it! â€ïž
I Was There By The Time You Have Filmed!!! Do You See Me??? You Filmed On March 12!!!! I Was There With My Dad And My Church Friends!!!! Including Our Youth Pastor!!!
Hey Action Kid, the land in front of the RCI cruise terminal is going to be the biggest Cruise Terminal on the Island for MSC Cruises. They will be able to handle multiple ships all at once in one terminal building. So they are moving out shipping containers from that side of the port to make way for the building. I wonder if they shut down government center at night like before or can you catch a bus going back into the city at night time ?? I lived over on 21st street, across from the convention center. I don't know if I'd ride a bike across that land bridge. Too much traffic for me. Glad to see the old neighborhood looking so good. And the trains and buses are newer too !!
Nice video
Always a hard call whether itâs faster to take the bus from Government center or take metromover to Omni transfer station and catch S or 120 bus to the Beach.
oooo i cant wait for you to see ultra!
You could take the Metro Rail all the way down to the end of the line. Dadeland South is Downtown Kendall. Dadeland North takes you to the mall area of you feel like exploring further đ
@15:43 ultra music festival to be exact.
ActionKid are we are neighbors ? I am a couple of blocks from Versailles. Will you be going to Coconut Grove? What camera are you using?
best bar .. they chat !!
They came out with the 2018 and 2019 and 2021 new flyer excelsior
hey ak cool video on riding on metro that's cheap to ride $2.25 then rideing mta for $275
I wonder if one could not do it faster my taking the people mover from the gov. center to Omni bus terminal and take the bus from there.
Thanks for the video. It would be cool if you could make a video riding the People Mover also. Thanks.
S Bus rideđ from Brickell to Miami Beach â±ïž đïž & Collins Ave in 38 minutes.đđđđ»
An alternative route is to take those free trollies from Brickell Ave. to Harborside and catch the bus from there.
đ€©
Youâre going to have to get car if youâre going to be living in Miami long term.
Is not bad
Hey AK hope youâre going to the Formula One Miami GP in May
Hello. Wait you left Astoria Queens for Brickell Miami arenât they both the same as a busy commercial area. No $14.00 plus a tip with Uber is expensive versus $2.25 with a free bus transfer on a non rainy day using public transportation. That is their subway. It is just a small one. NY has elevated subways as well. Was there an art event or you just wanted to walk around Miami Beach.
Just watched minute 1. AK says "I'm going to get from Brickell to Miami Beach entirely by public transportation". You are crazy, ActionKid, CRAZY. This is Miami. Nobody does what you're saying. Buy a car right now!!
I'm really liking your tours of Miami. I'm not sure if you've done a video of places to eat, but if you haven't please do. Thanks!!!
The Action Kid Getting Around ! - đ , đ & đ¶ââïž& making the scene in Miami. He might take in a Miami đ„ đ Game later.
Is this the only way to Miami Bch from Miami?
Hi Action Kid, I like your tours but would like more historical info about the locations and please edit out all the wait time like at stop lights etc.
Thanks.
You making good moves, don't worry about NYC
How do I know if it is the S bus going to Miami Beach?
Route S got Renumbered to Route 100
Love that thereâs a subway đ in Miami đ
No subway only above ground !!
Why does downtown Miami look so dirty but super beautiful at the same time? Itâs like itâs transforming into a great new world, but you can still see traces of the past.
@Daddy Fat saks Is that good or bad?
@Daddy Fat saks I recently moved to South Florida and saw this for myself. Gentrification is good in some ways because it makes the city look better. But, I am concerned about the history that is wiped out with it. I believe the city can get a facelift while preserving what makes it unique.
Had no idea miami had a train service
I was now 3 Times in Miami and have never use the Public Transport System
AK, Great job on your vids. I can't believe that the homeless seem to be all over like your NYC vids. Trains look 1,000% safer and almost perfectly clean compared to NY. Keep up the GREAT work!
Well, There are homeless in a lot of places not only in NYC. And you're comparing a huge City like NY to Miami which is small city and a tropical island state . Big difference Also they don't have Mass transit everyone basically drives. So of course it's going to be cleaner. Dosen't mean that everything is perfect in flordia because it isn't. It seems like everyone now just loves speaking badly about NY now? Is it like a new trend?
I wonder how much rent is to live along by this train route
Sadly, it's not cheap. Brickell studios are close to 2K/month. Some older apts in SoBe are cheaper, but not by much.
Miami is literally a few inches above sea level, that is why it has no subway.
Hope Miami have an MRT like Taipei or Singapore
Sunday buses not often
So THIS BUS IS A 2020 GLLIG BRT PLUS
Downtown Miami looks deserted-all those buildings and no people at least out on the street.
