@elctrn3311 In the court scene, Graves said shepard gave him the order to shoot task force 141. So it will be easy to tell who did it as only task force 141 has a good reason to do it

Honestly, it seems like a retcon of Price's character from MW2019.
Price took a mom and her child hostage to gain leverage over an adversary in MW 2019. Afterward, Gaz had concerns about it, which price basically said "You get blood on your hands when you take the gloves off". When asked where the line is Price said "wherever you need to draw it".
It just seems like between MW2 & 3 they forget that they had price be a character similar to Shepherd in the doing bad for good. The difference being that Price doesn't sacrifice his men.
Also, I say the price killed Shepherd cause he denied being the one to give Graves the order to kill TF141.
Or maybe he killed him for not wanting to confirm the kill on Makarov at the air base which led to Soaps death

He kills Sheperd because he’s involved in all of this. This is all his fault. He didn’t let soap kill makarov, he lost the missiles TWICE to Konni. He didn’t let them confirm the kill, then proceeded to get caught before that. It’s pretty much everything combined making him kill Sheperd

But the rest is true. I say the final straw was Shepherd denying the execution order of TF141.

Makarov being alive in the newest MWIII is weird seeing is how Price ended up killing him by purposely falling through the glass roof with him at the end of the old original MWIII after he had tied the noose around Makarov’s neck and securing it so Makarov hung to death while Price was smoking his victory cigar in the final scene.
Also, it seems like Soap dies in every MW. It gets to the point where it reminds me of South Park. “Oh my god, they killed Soap. Those bastards!”

That's becoz mw3 wasn't supposed be a solo game it was supposed to be a dlc for mw2 that's why it has such a small campaign. The mw3 was supposed to be the continuation of the stry that ends with price killing shepherd. The mw4 was supposed to be mw3. All becoz Activision wanted to milk consumers more.

MacMillian is cannon in this universe. the end of mw2019 when price was asking for the files from laswell she mentioned the zakhaev family and price responds “almost buried him in pripyat, with MacMillian” i wouldn’t be surprised if he cameback

He killed him because he learned from the issue with Makarov. He didn't want to kill Makarov, but then blamed himself. And was afraid of what Shephard would do, like how Makarov did after he was spared death.
I also feel Price blamed Shepard for what happened to Soap, as in that credits scene Shepard said they had to make “sacrifices” which could be referring to Soap.

I reckon in the next game. Price will be Ruthless & same thing with Ghost especially when it comes to those who deal with Makarov and Philip Graves & Shadow Company

MW 2019 Price felt badass and dark already. Going as far as putting someone's family as leverage for intel and that was "The gloves off"
But in MW2, with the changing of all 3 writers, they felt the need to make him soft and actually panic when Laswell was in danger.
This campaign was such a joke. No balls what so ever. No forcing to be a terrorist, reused maps, rebranding DMZ as “open combat missions,” and you don’t even get to kill Shepard
I love how Vova, Soap said in the past: We will meet again!!! He predicted Soap's future and thus the manner of his death. 💯👍🏻

The fact is season 2/3 one of the operators that was soap did say this ( well I wasn’t in that tunnel) meaning maybe the tunnel where soap did die was all an illusion and he was still alive and the ashes was from a other one in the military because we never saw what happened with soap body
If anything Price should be taking Makarov’s advice because he was always eight steps ahead
And see, this is why I laugh at the people who think Price's reactions to Soap's death wasn't dramatic enough or that he wasn't as shaken by Soap's death, as opposed to him yelling and screaming and confiding in MacMillan in OG MW3.

We don't know if price killed Shepherd in the linear timeline of MW3, it could be at a certain point in upcoming MW4, maybe even the end of 4.
Wait maybe Price remembers something from an alternate reality like maybe OG MW2 and 3 since it is implied Price died after OG MW3's story and was scorned by Shepherd after knowing all his friends died either due to Shepherd, Zechaev or Makarov or a mixture of Shepherd and Makarov in Soap's case due to the fact after the explosion Makarov set up Soap started bleeding from where Shepherd stabbed him

I hated the ending but this cutscene felt good
I think the reason Price killed Shepherd was because, if Shepherd had been like “yeah we don’t see a body, let’s check” then Johnny wouldn’t have died.
You know I never really thought of that. The whole time I thought he killed off Shepherd just because he did it in the original.
Price's not taking advice from Makarov, he wanted to confirmation on Makarov's death at the end of Danger Close, but Price denied it, arguing that "We have fire and brimstone, that's all the confirmation we need", leading to Makarov escaping to plot the bombing of the Chunnel, which led to Soap getting killed

Hot take: Graves ain’t a bad guy. He is a contractor and his job is to listen to his boss, like any other job, difference from a normal job is he was taught to follow orders in the marines prior. If you actually look at the relationship with Graves and 141, he actually cares about them, which is what good soldiers feel about the people they fight with. And the betrayal scene he didn’t want to kill Soap and Ghost, he tried explaining why he had to relieve them of their duties. In MW3 I believe he would protect Farah and Alex with his life if it came down to it because again, good soldiers protect their brothers in arms

I doubt it, Shadow Company are just mercenaries who follow their benefactors orders, they aren’t really Price’s enemies, it’s all just business to them. With Shepard dead now, no one who would hire them would want them fighting the 141. I’d not be surprised if they end up becoming allies hired by Laswell/CIA to support Price and 141 in the future.
Graves is definitely on the list. He made that crystal clear to Shepherd after the Prison Break mission on MWII.
Ghost will probably be even more brutal or violent cos he was a lot closer to Soap than Price was

Price in this timeline has always believed that to protect society, you have to get really bloody. But at the end of the day, he's still one of the good guys, and murdering Makarov would've put them in hot water. However, he realises just what his mercy means to people like Makarov, who will only use it to continue their goals. Makarov didn't care that Price spared him, and was taunting him as such. Price then realised Shepherd, being the ass-covering backstabber that he is, would probably end up doing the same, and decided to correct his mistake before he had the chance.

I mean price is just trying to end the threats once and for all. Shephard was evil for the bad things he did he tried to have 141 excuted. While prices bad things means more lives saved and no more bad guys at all.
Killing Makarov might not have saved lives but it would have saved Soaps life and that's all that mattered

It's also because price told general Shepard to come clean when he was in court and he lied. Blaming shadow company for disobeying (which eas the lie) price kept his word of killing him
