Mom pushed the issue by asking her multiple times with full knowledge she was about to introduce her child to an umpleasant tasting experience. I have fed three toddlers before, and I am also raising them to understand the importance of respecting boundaries, starting with teaching the understanding of the word NO, one of the most important words in the dictionary. Also, when feeding a toddler, trust is one of the key components in getting your child to try new foods. By disregarding the child's immediate response, she has set herself up to be an extremely picky eater. No means NO, PERIOD....the very first time, in every single setting. You've obviously never understood boundaries before. 😃
From the looks of her, she's spent all day tasting things she didn't want. That's probably why she said 'NO'! Give that baby some real food for goodness sake and stop filming her. 🙄

You could never be a detective. Home is clean and probably cost way more than yours. Baby chair doesn't have holes or tears. The baby table has cereal and other food bits because obviously the baby was filling her cute little tummy with food mom gave her.
Then when mom finally decides to take time to eat her own food, the baby stares at her like she wants some. My guess is this little bundle always asks for mom's food by the way she says "okay".
My youngest always did this to me, doesn't want anything unless she saw me eating it first. Would cry for it even. I would tell her no for certain things and the water works came. So yeah, try it if you want, but just a little. Teaches them to try things and not be scared of the world, like it sounds like your children would be. 😅😅😅

Signs a child has eaten safe food do not mean a parent could not be abusive.
Can you not see offering a child new foods to encourage a good eating selection is different than picking a food you know will be to hot for the child's taste buds and offering it again and again. And making a video of the child in pain while you laugh. She obviously knew it would hurt her child. That is why she planned it and had her phone ready to video it for kicks.

The only thing I worry about is how was Rosy feeling when she witnessed her mom laughing? If it was me I would’ve probably felt so bad and said I was so sorry and gave her a hug, but then told her it’ll be ok and I would give her milk ASAP and maybe laughed after the video. Please in other countries their kids eat this and other spicy foods from a young age. This not feeding your kids spicy foods has been coming primarily from folks of British backgrounds. Wasabi comes from horseradish. I used to live in Northern Sweden, and the family I stated with ate fresh Horseradish at breakfast, kids included. It's a matter of training.

Yes, it's true. Over 95% of wasabi served in sushi restaurants does not contain any real wasabi. Most fake wasabi is made from a blend of horseradish, mustard flour, cornstarch and green food colorant. This means that most people who think they know wasabi have actually never tasted the stuff!

At her age she wont feel anything but pain from that. Kids are resilient, and she will get past this, just like if her mom slapped her in the face just for fun, she would get past that too. The main issue here is her mother doing this for fun and clicks. If I take a needle and go poke around people, none of them will develope crippling trauma, but that doesn't make me any less of a shitty person.
