I used to like the way grocery stores were organized in Ohio. With exception of 1 they were all self checkouts and had a normal long belt. The cool part is that as you scanned the items the baggers were ready at the end and when you were done they would get your cart and load the bags into it while you finished paying or if there was a problem with the item not processing correctly they were able to fix it (or identify people who tried to switch barcodes, etc) It made it easy and actually convenient and if you didn't want to scan your own you didn't need to. But I found because the items were being bagged by the staff very few people didn't scan their own items.
I saw a identical version at the Royal Palm Beach location with that excact same voice. The old Winn-Dixie which is now Walmart Neighborhood Market also used this voice except the belt behaved like a tunnel.
I miss this self checkout and I love the voice on the self checkout
