It was a deliberate act of criticism & correction by Tope Alabi & it was uncalled for.
A guarantor is a person that provides guarantee'. He guarantees to pay a borrower's debt in the event that the borrower defaults on a loan obligation'. In other words, a guarantor undertake to pay a debt that the one he guarantees is unable to pay.
The Bible states in Hebrews 7:22, NIV: "Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantor of a better covenant."
There's a christian song that says;
"HE (Christ) paid the debt HE did not owe
I owe the debt I could not pay & I needed someone to wash my Sins away,
Now I can sing a brand new song, Amazing Grace ...Christ Jesus paid the debt that I could never pay"
Ephesians 1: 13-14 also states that The Holy Spirit (The Spirit of God) guarantees our redemption (the work Christ did on the cross)
Therefore, if God gives us the Holy Spirit as our guarantee then GOD the giver is our guarantor through Jesus Christ as it is stated in Heb 7:22 & 1 John 2:1

I must say Morayo is biased concerning this issue to some extent, and that's fine, because she has a personal relationship with Tope Alabi.
You can't tell someone who God is to them, people call God different names according to how he has manifested Himself to them.
She erred publicly. I mean, she was criticizing her song before others, not just in her house. She wanted the world to know how wrong the other lady is, hence using the media to publicize it.
If she doesn't see the need to apologise publicly, she should face the consequences of her actions

That's the greatest challenge we have in christianity. We should be careful. If you have an issue with someone, or disagree go to the person privately. We are using social media or public domain to disgrace ourselves. Even if the person is wrong you call the person privately. Humility is a mindful action so Tope should learn from her correction of the young lady and chew her own words too. I know the names I call my God. No one single name is enough to address the Almighty that is why you address God Almighty from different ways He touches you apart from the ones in the Holy book. Let's caution ourselves please. We are losing concentration on the important part of our journey
@Ms Morayo...I appreciate what you do but I think your focus on this issue is off. Once you engage in the public forum and live by it..believe that you have lost a lot of privacy. It comes with the territory...but more important you have to really become disciplined and deliberate, careful and cautious. Every thing you do will be under a magnifying glass. Tope Alabi really goofed on this one and just like your cohost rightly said...she should have come out publicly and address the matter. That's one thing our folks dont do too well..damage control. It should be immediate and swift..with humility and taking ownership. This would have died down maybe a day or 2 had she addressed it quickly and then reach out to Mrs Alaseyori.
We need to be objective in our judgement of things. The show is called "Your View" for a reason. The ladies are all expressing their views on the issue. Morayo was the first to say it was a "goof" in her opinion. She was analysing and expressing her view on the public response and how they reacted to the story. There is nothing wrong with that. You have to analyse situations holistically. Her colleagues already dealt with the perspective of how they thought Tope Alabi should have handled it. You can't dismiss another person's broader perspective on an issue. Its a discussion forum. People would have different perspectives and everybody can't be saying the same thing.
Who is this lady to be the one to determine how other people should relate to God. Who made her an Ambassador for song composition. This is so degrading and embarrassing to hear.
