    I used to think nba refs were the worst in pro sports
 this season has really changed my mind on that. Don’t understand how 40k untrained people can see a call from 100 yards away but the official 5 feet from the foul cannot.

      Tim Donaghy (nba)was convicted for rigging games. He’s since came out and admitted that all games are rigged by all refs. They’re meant to look incompetent, nobody every thinks “man that was rigged” they always say “that ref is horrible”

      It's called replays slow motion super slow motion angles all make some of these look bad try making these calls at real speed on the field it's tougher than you think.

I made a comment on my own that's above this one but I'll say it again the clips and editing makes it so easy to see I haven't watched football in over 5 years and I called every Bears penalty coming to them before it came to them. I did it based on the score and the location of scrimmage line

      @@bryandedon7459 wrong. I have the ability to fucking read the rulebook and I've watched every NFL game that Claypool has played up until he was traded. That is exactly how he tries to catch deep balls every time (backpedaling away from the ball + the alligator arms). The DB isn't pulling him there and hands around the waist doesn't significantly hinder his ability to catch the ball. The ball literally hit him in the hands.

      Bears shouldn't have even come that close. They got a free possession of of a BS hold call on Xavien. Resulted in 7 point the bears didn't deserve. End result was the same but the refs kept the bears in the game when they shouldn't have had a chance to win it.

      Same with Pass interference. Brady, and others have made a living chucking the ball 50+ yards downfield knowing if their guy doesn't catch it, there's about a 50-50 chance they'll get a flag.
      I'd rather they outlaw any forward pass that is caught beyond the line to gain.

      I certainly believe it to be intentional contact, which should get that ref a phone call and perhaps a permanent retirement from the NFL, but I will point out that dropping your shoulder like that when you know contact is inevitable is going to be instinctual for nearly anyone on a football field. I don't buy that his momentum stopped him from making a better turn when going from running backwards, or that he didn't see the defender in time to react, but the textbook tackle part is suspect.

      Sometimes the play clock is slightly different on tv than it is on the field, and sometimes the official play clock is different than what they show even if you are in the stands. (like 1 second off for instance)

      The work of these officials is scrutinized way more than most people at their jobs.
      If your work performance was captured by high-speed cameras from multiple angles, and replayed dozens of times, I'll be a dollar to a dime we could find something that was "controversial."

    At some point the NFL needs to hire professional referees OR players need to demand federal investigation (IRS / Gambling Commission) of officials.

      It’s not a bad call just more of the rule being a bit dumb. Any contact with the helmet on a QB is an automatic roughing the passer so it’s just a dumb rule being enforced and not a bad call

      Your defenders were being dirty pieces of scum all night I could probably make an entire video alone of the defenders getting away with cheap shots, pass interference, holding, and offsides. By the time Kelce ripped the guys helmet off I'm pretty sure he was just as angry as the rest of the offense was for how they were being treated. Those last few penalties at the end was karma for the crap our offense had to go through for the first three quarters.

    As for the roughing the passer on the Packers for hitting Goff’s head, can we stop calling legitimate calls enforcing unpopular rules “horrible calls”? It’s totally against the rules to hit the QB’s head, and it isn’t even like he brushed it with his fingertips or something, it was a definite thwack on the helmet.

    The first no call is proof that penalties that shouldn’t have been called and no calls that should’ve been penalties need to be challenged. That ref was right in front of the easiest pass interference call and he blew it. That ref is marked for death by all Chicago now.

    Don't take the NFL and the NBA seriously guys. It is just entertainment like a movie. The whole thing is fixed to get certain teams to the playoffs. It is all about what teams will make the league the most money in sales and merchandise.

    ref are human too, human makes mistakes. It is all understandable if refs fuck up some calls during a game, but the way NFL portraits refs as gods of the field and what they say is law is sickening. For an organization that owns a day of the week and refuses to upgrade techs into games is pathetic. NFL refs are the worst refs in sports period.

    The NFL has become a joke. These zebras shouldn't be allowed to call a Pop Warner game, let alone an National Fairy League game. I stopped watching the NFL when seemingly every offense became a carbon cop of every offense in the game. You an literally predict with an 80% chance of being right what kind of play will be run on every down. BORING. Now, we have officials who are blind as the proverbial bat.
