      @bozan1530 Před 8 lety +5

      +ashley stone The false notion that Americans aren't exposed to raunchy humour is just small-minded and ignorant. Regular network TV in the US may be clean, but all someone has to do is change the channel to cable tv or go to an actual comedy club in America to find the exact opposite. Katt Williams is just one of many examples of an American comic who has done plenty of raunchy and x-rated comedy specials on American cable television.

    • @ThePaoOfTooh
      @ThePaoOfTooh Před 8 lety +7

      Bo Zan Pretty sure no one said Americans weren't exposed to raunchy humour? Additionally, more risky jokes are usually cut from 'Late Night' talk show stand-up routines, meaning that even if Jack (or any other comic for that matter) wanted to perform more crude/adult humour, he would have to run it through the networks censorship team, almost 100% of the time leading to whatever harsher material being cut. It's just the format of talk show stand-up routines...

      Joseph Parry his jokes are based on personal experiences, he is 30 year old and spent most of his life being a comedian, so he doesn’t have a whole lot of life experience to talk about. Which I guess is why he travel around and meet a wide range of new people.
      I mean, in one of his specials, he talked about 4 or 5 girlfriends, how do you expect him to come up with another 4 or 5 girlfriend story that also need to be funny, especially when he is no longer a 20 something year old.

    I think that jack has just proved that it is a lot harder to make american audiences laugh. British humour tends to be a bit more relaxed and not so excitable. I'm not saying all american audiences love loud, overreacted humour but from what i've seen from american chat shows and quite a lot of other american audiences is that it really is a chore to make them laugh

      Just another example of how dirty jokes and swearing doesn't make you funnier. Take for example Bill Cosby and Jerry Seinfeld. BOTH of them kept their sets clean and became EXTREMELY popular before their TV shows, without the use of cussing and dirty jokes.
      Other examples of VERY successful clean comedians are Jim Gaffigan, Terry Fator, Gallagher (a tiny bit of swearing), Jeff Dunham, Jeff Foxworthy, and Brian Regan.
      Maybe Jack Whitehall could take a lesson from the best!

      @@weatheringcloud7191 Not all of us. I felt this was too rushed and too watered down compared to his performances in the UK. Not his fault, Americans are weird about what is and isn't allowed on TV. Which I think is stupid. They’re already playing this well after most kids have gone to bed, and any adults watching that don't like the swearing or the jokes? They can just CHANGE THE BLOODY CHANNEL. But whatever. I'm just grateful for CZcams, which allows me to see British comedy at its finest. Unfiltered and hilarious!
