Dude…watching from The States and part of a small channel (22.5k) reviewing quads. Recently got into ADV bikes and research needed to be done.
To gain my interest the following criteria had to be met:

It's hot...very hot in summer 😅🙈
So glad that i changed from the standard to the Expedition. Only did 500 km'ters on the standard as i heard that an Exped was coming out. Lost a bit of money but the Exped is so more capable.
Thinking of putting some AX41 under it. But the standard rubber actually is not really bad. That rubber can do the job. Not in mud but on the dry stuff they are ok.
Did a 8 weeks trip on the Exped. A little more then 9000 km. In hot and also a lot of rain.
You need to do the decat. Your legs are burning away when going slower offroad.
And after going 36 hours through heavy rain suddenly my blinkers started slowly glowing up and stayed on permently. It has electrical issues for sure. This was a lot of times extremely dangerous. Because while riding on the right i had passing cars freaking out on me. Because they thought i would suddenly go riding on the left side of the highway. Also i had multiple times that a passing car from behind (autobahn) suddenly hit the breaks. While going 160 plus kph. And those Mercedes on the Autobahn do easily 250 plus kph. So incredible dangerous. Had constantly watch out for the blinkers go on on their own. I found out it was a common problem for 890 's also. So there is definitely a designflaw going on in the electrical system of the 890 and 901. And it is not a problem that easily can be fixed.
The other thing i did not like is the after shock. With only around 40 kg of luggage the bike became wobble sometimes. I also had that happening to me on the 1190r. The first time i had luggage on it and getting to around 170 kph. The bike out of the blue went all of the highway. Until this day i still do not know how i survived that. Because at that moment it flashed through my lizard part of the brain that i would die within several seconds. If several cars would not have adapted so good to me wobbling all around the road then i would have died for sure.
I also feel that slightly in my Husky. So riders be aware. With luggage go start peeling to that point slowly. Not go full blast riding with luggage on your bike. Also the shock could not cope very good with the heavier load.
So when your going on a large trip with luggage you maybe have to replace the shock with a stronger one. Never had that happenend to me with my former bikes. The NX250 i had but that bike does not count. Even the 800XC with more luggage could easily do 190 kph. I allways want to go as fast as i can through Germany. And then do the backroads. So after that it is not really a problem. Only that you still need to be carefull to take as less luggage as you can when the shock is still standard. Going offroad with luggage it does bottom out a lot. While not carrying any luggage this machine can plow through the terrain as good a 690. Weird.
Hi. I have a truly wild 1996 bmw r 1100 GS (plastic tank), model with RS cams. Also has a john gemi chip and an ECU with newer injectors attached. It is a true beast. Do u believe this norden thing is faster??? I only care to know about rough speed and torque reaction. Nothing other gizmos. Whats ur opinion. Thanks

Ik heb enkel de 1290 SAR nog in mijn bezit. Al de rest waar ik mee rijdt komt uit de persvloot van de merken zelf 😁. Buiten de andere motoren/brommers in mijn garage dan 😅

Did anyone else has a lot of clunking plastic sound from the front of the bike?
I know there's a chain clank, but this is different.
I am almost ready to start removing all the fairings and see what causes this.

The biggest problem with these, is Husqvarna doesnt make enough of them. Here in the US they are presold out nationwide well into 2024
They are still out at dealerships You just have to drive and find one. I drove 1400 miles round trip from SD to MO to get mine.
Same in Canada, fortunately I ordered mine Dec. 2022 and didn't get it till June 2023 and there sold out all 2024 already.
Well, the heat is coming from the catalytic converter. Is a known issue with many euro5 cats. But wouldn't it be good for a fall or a winter tour 😀

I have never taken a bike that far , I can't say but pretty sure if you give them the maintenance they need you don't need to worry 😌

Is the heat from the engine very uncomfortable? I mean, does it bother only when you go really slow on trails or does it also on long run rides in hwy ?
On highway no problem , very slow trails in summer is gonna be bad....have been told heat wrap around the exhaust or a cat delete solves the problem

Legally? Stay in The Netherlands , it's even worse over here 😂🙈. I pay enough taxes to stop caring about what's legal and what's not. I do stay away from silent zones and protected zones of course. But most parts here are also illegal to ride 🙈
How is the seat height? Can you show a demo with you and some infos like inseam length, your height please?
The expedition is very high , check the unboxing video of mine from the Husqvarna. I have a couple people getting on and off 😉
You should do a transalp 750 review since u have tried alot of adventure motorcycles in this category/range and let us know your opinion about it
Honda is not giving me motorcycles to ride 😂. I asked multiple people at Honda in my country , the employees really liked my channel but the management does not want to work with me 🙈. Can't blame them to be honest haha.

We have enough people who make boring reviews spending 10 minutes talking about the rake of the bike, whatever that even means. We need more people like you that actually drive the damn thing.
That's the reason I started doing these videos. I was watching an older generation (no offence) of reviewers standing next to a bike rambling about the bore and stroke the engine has 😅.
Norden must have a larger off road motor bike like BMW R1300GS, KTM 1300 Adventure, Triumph Rally Pro 1200, Ducati Multistrada V4, KTM 1390 Super Adventure
Would you pick this over the 890 adventure r? I'm torn between the two
I prefer the 890 as this one does get really hot when riding slowly. You can solve that with some heat wrap on the exhaust. But they are mostly the same motorcycle so it's more about the looks when you buy one of them 😁
Smokey, what suspension settings did you have? If you have changed them could you comment on different settings?
Nope didn't change it. Working on an idea to explain everything about manually adjusting the suspension 😊
Sport setting, adjust preload to weight of rider. My experience suspension was stiff when brand new. It broke in after 500 miles went from comfort to sport settings suit my riding

Is the heat by your legs the same as the KTM 890?
Ktm 890 is cooler. The engine on the Norden is more covered with armour , I believe that is the problem 😁
Hey! You keep dumping on Akrapovic, but it's not really their fault. It's the EURO 5. Basically, it is not possible to make a homologated (road legal) EURO 5 exhaust that is any lauder than the stock. At best you get some weight savings and different tone from aftermarket cans, but same noise levels, emissions etc. DB killer not being user removable is also one of the requirements since EURO 5. Or possibly even since EURO 4. So again, they legally cannot sell it anymore with the predrilled hole and rubber plug like they used to if it is homologated.

No both are bad and most cops will take your license 😅. It's when you do it in a country that's not your own , my own country can't take me to court for it.

Average height lol, you have the american average heights, looking at NL it is 183cm, Belgium 176.6, Sweden 180cm... Wonder why it is so big of a difference betwee NL and B. lol
My family comes from the Netherlands originally but we moved to Belgium in 1740 😂
110km/hr 3rd gear wheelies over a blind crossing, in between trees (20:53)... Not only are you gambling with your life mate, you're teaching this on social media. Consider your impact and keep it smart
The crossing is 2 deep sand trails that only the farmer uses to get to his land. I have been riding down this road couple of times of the camera. Many people want to learn how to wheely and I am teaching them the safest way to do it. Don't do it with people around , don't do it with strong winds. I only do 2-3 wheelies in my reviews as people who love to pop wheelies need to know if it works or not. I have also seen many school shooters on the internet , doesn't make me feel like going out shooting people 😁
