Item Rarity Table

fun items:
Magnifying Glass - Adds the effect to that item. Use it on farming tools for an easier time.
Fish - Add to fishing rods to increase the odds of catching that fish (I think).
Invisible Stone - Invisible weapons. Pure fun value. Mine from the upper part of Spring Field.
Raccoon Leaf - Extends range. Stacks with below. The boss of Demon’s Den drops it. Left, left, left.
Glitta Augite - Extends range. Stacks with above. Randomly drops instead of Lumber when chopping Twinkle Tree. Grow one using a Shining Seed obtained from the tree to the NW of Obsidian Mansion.
Object X - Reverses effects of future upgrades. Useful for turning negative resists into positives, such as with cooking spices.
Mealy Apple - Large stat boosts when used after Object X.
Orichalcum - Highest rarity ore that’s easily obtainable. Mined in Leon Karnak.
Dragonic Stone - Highest rarity ore. Period. Mined in Rune Prana.
Shade Stone - Lowers resists of enemies when you hit them.
Rare Can - Increases chances of rare items dropping. Weapons only.
4-Leaf Clover - Increases item drop rate. Weapons only.
Green/Blue/Red/Yellow Cores - Upgrade with all of them to give 10% resistance to non-elemental damage.
Elemental Dragon Scales - Allows shields to half their effects when using dual-wield weapons (fists/dual swords).
Elemental Crystals (seasonal crystal flowers) - Adds elemental resistance.
Golden Crops - Instant death chance on every hit. Resist death on crafted items.
Light Ore - Allows you to override using an item from a different category (ex. Long Sword item in Shortsword recipe + Light Ore). Mined anywhere once your mining level is above 40-ish.
revisting this as special has just come out.
Just discovered this game and it's damn addicting
Hey John E. Boy! Come on back to CZcams! I'd love to see you do some more RF4 videos, especially with the new switch version! Also, friends of Mineral Town is getting a switch reboot, and there are other life some out there too! There are already so few RF4 content creators, that I'd hate to lose one!
I just got Rune Factory 4 a few weeks ago and I'm now trying to tackle the Sharance Maze on hard mode. Your list of special effect items is extremely helpful! I had no idea about half of this stuff. Awesome! This game is so fun and cool.
Staves get M.ATK bonuses with rarity points instead of ATK. (Getting +1750 M.ATK at >=200 Total Rarity Points) So if you play as a mage you don't lose anything since you're already supposed to use staves because of their charge attacks.
Also, not all crafting items have DEF bonuses with rarity points. I can't pinpoint a rule but it seems like magical-like items get M.DEF bonuses instead. Examples of this are the Magic Shield and the Diamond Brooch.
I just got this game... A bit weirded out that such a beloved game has so few guides, so i appreciate the vid...even if im years late. Haha.
I have been using the tls method for all of my items but for some reason when i recently made shoes and overrode those shoes on weaker ones leveling up everything to level 10 every chance I could...the stats were barely better than the weak shoes i wanted to override. I did everything the same as I always have but this time it didn't multiply the stats; usually I walk away with +300 on top of the the good item stats. like for example the good item is 500 atk then after overriding a weak version of that i got 900 atk. I've looked online everywhere and no one seems to have this problem I'm experiencing. Keep up these vids you are a great help and a great host, thank you.
I am a bit late to the party, but it would be awesome if you could do a weapon craft series.
Considering all the aspects of your other tutorials.
For example:
episode 1 will be the long sword,
2 the dual blades and
3 the gloves and so on.
Each episode you will show how and where to gather the required materials for the weapon.
Maybe even show like a material list or something.
And after that you will craft the weapon step by step using the rarity system, the overriding and the lvl 50 bonus.
I think it would be pretty fun and entertaining to watch this!
hey just found an exploit for fishing you can throw anything in the lake and keep fishing it back to boost your fishing level, really fast, im using the star pendant and water shoes so i can just press a then b b then a. not sure if fishing level actually helps though
leveling up anything is good for rp :)
Also grow tons of crops! Like strawberries, or if possible pineapples. They drop little skill boosting orbs when you harvest sometimes!
thank you so much *v* wish i had found these tutorials when i first started the game...
+Madison Barber me too :3
Is that... BOMBERMAN 64 MUSIC I HEAR!?!?
Instant like
You forgot scrap metal + which makes all attacks done by an weapon that was upgraded with it deals 1 damage per hit
To get just keep failing when creating a weapon
You can just forge Scrap itself until it turns into Scrap+.
I like to use a basic Broadsword forged with Scrap Metal+, glitta augite, and two fold steel as a tool to farm ten fold steel. It's pretty handy!
Would you do a video explaining how to be a strong mage? I'm considering to go to mage at some point, but none of my wands come close to my spears and longswords.
+ThatOneGuyRobert yeah i can do that
John E Boy Thanks, looking forward to it!
@@thatoneguyrobert6327 did he do it?
Let's see here you put in the description 4-leaf clover as a drop rate increasing item. What about the Giant 4-leaf clover does it have a greater effect? Have these items (4-leaf clover and rare can) proven to do what they are supposed to do? I'm only asking because I pretty much did everything in the game and would like to create a perfect ultimate weapon and armor set minus the items that require white stone (pretty sure it's impossible to get one higher than lvl1 as far as I know)
Also another thing I would honestly like to know if you have the time and patience to do a video on it is what each of the skill does, how you level it up and what other skills do crafting, cooking, forging, and mixing medicine give experience to besides themselves. I'm pretty sure what I'm asking is tedious as all hell but hey at least I asked.
+Casian Lionheart well as far as i know yes, the giant 4 leaf should have a better drop rate than regular 4 leafs and you should be able keep using more of them ( but like all items, the more you use, the more the effects diminish when upgrading and yes 10 fold steel should also work).
and yes i do intend on making a stat video along with a ultimate wizard wand skill guide video in the near future (gonna get a new comp in a few days then i am resuming video production at full pace) :)
I think the stats are self explanatory and don't need a whole video dedicated to them skills on the other hand should be analized in full depth I'm also REALLY interested in the searching skill. Also Amber sometimes makes comments that your weeding skill is high. I honestly have no idea which one she is talking about. Also you could see if you can find more ways to crash the game. I already found 2 one of which I can make the game crash at will. Also you could mention max level and max skill levels because well some stop at 99 others keep going even after 100.
Again I think a video about stats would be a waste of tour time everyone knows what stats do since the game only has 5 I'm honestly disappointed there isn't a luck stat I like those. Those are the first one I try to increase as soon as possible in any RPG because there's nothing sweeter than a reward after a battle.
I also wish to add that 10fold and 2 fold steel lose their multiplying propriety after the first use. I tested this morning out of curiosity also Rune legend will never reach max rarity if you try to extend its range to the max (glitta in the recepie, glitta 10 folded and racoon leaf 2folded) which is a shame. I will have to compromise range and replace it with something else of higher rarity to get the max bonus.
Hey, nice video. I recently pick up this game after they announce RF5. Hope you will review/ make content of RF5.
My question is, how im supposed to know the raritu value? I can see the level of an item ( and maybe track down the total level) but not rarity.
unfortunately you can't actually see the number for the rarity value of items, the highest rarity items are usually the most powerful items in each category but people have already determined which items have what number rarity associated with them on this forum:
gamefaqs.gamespot.com/3ds/635388-rune-factory-4/faqs/68669
and yeah I plan on making content for RF5 if I am able.
Good stuff, thank you!
I know its been a few months sense this was posted but if someone could tell me if a combo like (object x - mealy apple - ten fold steel) would work it would be very appreciated.
+codexwakia unfortunately it doesnt, it would only multiply the negative effects.
I have understand the the item effects before this.. but the rarity system still confused me..
do you more tutorial about this? or maybe a video to actually show how it goes?
Thanks before ^^~!!
Kinda late, but long story short, Every item has a category such as "Crystals", "Minerals", "Jewels", "Feathers", "Sticks and Stems" etc and are ranked from 0-15, 0 being lowest and 15 being the highest. All the items in the game are have a category, there are ones that are harder to obtain than the others. Little Mages in the Idra cave can drop Magic Crystals which are easy to get because getting them to spawn and killing them is easy, so the Magic Crystal is one of the lowest rarity in the "Crystals" category. The Bane Dragon in Rune Prana can drop an Electro Crystal, it is a boss, it is harder to kill, and without exploiting the boss room glitch (using recall after the boss dies and drops items but before the room lock lets you out will allow you to re fight the bosses multiple times a day) can only be fought once a day. So the Electro Crystal is the highest rarity Crystal because is it the hardest of the Crystals to get
this was great thank you
I think I’m too early in this game. This is making my brain hurt (it’s a great guide, I just don’t know where to even start as some of the things mentioned I don’t know about).
Okay, so, I watched both videos, and I have one question.
How can you reach a total level of 150? I'm pretty sure you can only upgrade weapons and armor 9 times max, and the max level of upgrade material is 10, so that would total 90, plus the weapon's level of 10, which means 100. So are the materials used for crafting the weapon/armor also used for max level? Your other video doesn't explain it that well.
ok, so yes the 6 items you put into the forging process count towards it (all items need to be level 10 so it would be 60 all together) then you upgrade the weapon 9 times (also level 10 items) so it would be 6 + 9 = 15 or 150
@@JohnEBoyVideos Doesn't the total level also include the equipment's item level? After all, your example in the other video was upgrading a level 8 weapon with two level 10 materials to reach a total level of 30. So with six max level forging materials and 9 max level upgrading materials, wouldn't that make the total item level be 160? 'Cause the forging materials would give 60 levels, the upgrading materials would give 90 levels, and then you'd get 10 more levels from the equipment's item level.
In other words, the total level would be 61 immediately off the forge, and would increase by 11 for each upgrade.
Yes you are correct (at least as far as I can remember, im writing this reply after being awake for over 24 hours cramming for school) the max bonus is reached once the weapon hits 150 total levels but I think that your weapon is able to hit 160 if you use all level 10 materials. I will probably give a more thorough explanation when I can think straight.
Any good equipment/weapons for vishnal (and maybe Luna?)
Vishnal is proficient with double blades but does decently well with fisticuffs and the like
Luna and Noel are proficient with any weapon
Can you do one example :p ?
Would it be possible to make a quick beginners guide please!! I feel like I am missing a lot in this game!
+flakecorps yaeh, sure i can do that.
Thank you!!!!! A lot of your videos are with your characters at a much higher level. I am at the part where you follow that little squirrel, and that area is killing me. Should I need be spending my time in the town instead? What should my priority be? forge or chemistry set? what are a good place to farm wood and stone in the beginning? thanks a lot!!!
+flakecorps here are some freebies for now. focus forging, and places to farm wood and stone would be the summer, winter, spring and fall fields.
so, you need to own rare items, to get rare items? or am i misunderstanding
no, you dont need rare items to find rare items
Where are the most chance to find invisible stone?
RandomGurl :P it's random unfortunately; however, I seemed to have better luck farming in the (not sure if this is the correct name) emerald cave
i found 3 of them just hitting rocks outside of town.
God bless u
how can you reach lvl 150 tier?. if there are only 6 slots for each level 10 item you put? plus the level on the items it self making it reach level 70 max... how the hell can you reach tier 5 lvl 150?
+Jean Cruz 6 slots for crafting slots plus the 9 items you can put on it = 15. 15 items all at lvl 10 = 150 which in turn = 5 tier. hope that helped. :)
Nice :))helped alot
+Jean Cruz glad i could be of assistance :) there is a video better explaining the lvl 150 tier on my channel if you would like more help :)
+John E Boy
Ok, I think I need some clarification cause for me it looked like you also get ten additional points for TLS from the weapon level itself so wouldn't that make a total of 160 lvl? Also, your vids are really helpful for me since i lost my first savedata and want to replay it as fast as possible so thanks^^
If you still take ideas for future videos you may make I would love to see some weapon/gear recipes for eg. Drop rate weapon, insta kill weapon for lvl farming purpose or full elemental resist equip.
+MrMrMan364 the weapon level itself doesnt really matter unless you are using it for overriding but technically i guess it would be lvl 160 but lvl 150 is the number that will get you to tier 7 which is the highest. as for video request i dont think i will ever stop taking requests because it is nice being able to give viewers a chance to participate in the creation of videos, that being said there are some videos that i wont do because its either well enough explained in the game or its kinda impossible for it to be effective in game e.g it is nearly impossible for you to make items without a recipe because of how much rp you would need and you can get every recipe by eating recipe bread either by going to porcos kitchen or going to the sharance maze so i probably wouldnt do a video on weapon/gear recipes; however, i recently found out about a weapon that absolutely destroys bosses and its a staff! although the method to getting it to do so is really interesting and can be done very early in the game, so i am incorporate the insta kill weapon suggestion into the next RF4 video im going to do which explains the process of how to get the boss killing staff.
can someone tell me where I can find gold ore ?
you can find gold ores in Idra Cave and Maya Road when you start the second arc.
You can get to gold ore in Maya Road before second arc once you unlock Delirium Lava Ruins.
Orrrr.. you know , you can use an op item and use ten folds...*sarcasm**awkward laugh* *dab*
Kenny Jimenea you can do both
