A great learning experience! Good job not giving up. Hammer looks cool and is functional.
Its a cool little memory as well I learned tons.
Thanks for showing the failure and still moving forward. Most guys would give up, but you still made a pretty cool hammer from it!
Cool hammer and great memory
Nifty little hammer. Especially for your first one. Proud of you for not giving up after that press mishap. You, my friend, will go far.
Thank you. It would be a waste not to finish. And i have a cool little hammer out of it plus a great memory.
Pretty good for the first try👍🏻
Thanks
Man at least you tried... no fear, and it left a really cool pattern.
Ill use it for forging from time to time just to say i use it. Im happy with the result regardless.
I'm sure that hammer will work fine.. good job for your first try..
Thank you.
I like it JP! Your learning from your mistakes keep it up and you'll go a long way.
Thank you. I appreciate the support 🙏
This the type of guy you have a beer with.
That blowout was rough, but good recovery!
Thank you
Great looking little hammer. The first are always the worst. Bet they will be better in the future.
Thanks i bet they will
You nailed it, we should name it. I vote for chubbs
I vote for roofy
Nice hammer! But was the steel not too cool to forge the eye out? Great work!!!👍👍👍
Im not sure. Canister Damascus tends to easily crack and shred. You have to work the steel down to get those imperfections out and since it wasnt worked down any it was prone to cracking. Same thing happens with ball bearings.
I hate to say it, but every time you make an ooopsie you end up making somthing awesome, the bolster on the chef knife the hammer here, I’d say oopsie managed well and good job
Ooopsies spark imagination 😅
