Bill Snyder took one of the worst programs in the country and turned them into a winner throughout the 1990s and beyond. He is a true legend within KSU lore.
It seemed like during the 1980s, Kansas could not settle on a helmet design cause they switched it up from year to year although they and in-state rival Kansas State, who changed their uniforms to what they have been wearing since 1989, were average and were scrimmage fodder for Oklahoma, Colorado and Nebraska in the heyday of the Big Eight
Scrimmage fodder? Name one program that consistently beat Oklahoma, Colorado, or Nebraska in the 1990’s. Those three programs have had tremendous football teams for years
@@alexkain8564 To clarify, for much of the 1980's in the Big Eight, Nebraska and Oklahoma were a cut above everybody else in that time period while Kansas State, prior to Bill Snyder starting the rebuild job in the little Apple in 1989, and Kansas were just trying to not be in last place

Snyder loved the QB run. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.
Thanks for sharing.
One for the ages
Who was the narrator for the Big 8 weekly cable show back in the 90s? Was that the same guy that did NFL films?
The late Harry Kalas, who was also the TV voice of the Philadelphia Phillies
@@cfoster81 Yes that
s the one! Thanks.
Rock Chalk
This is one of KU's 6 wins against Kstate from 1989 to 2024. 6.
