Love your videos! You remind me of my father and uncle who both loved this trade as much as you do! God bless you and give youmuch more years of health and life!!!!!
Thanks for posting this video, and as you mentioned, it would've been even more helpful if you'd shown a few of the processes you were describing. Thanks again, stay well!
Good to see you back guys. I am not a machinist, (just a software developer in unrelated field), but I learned so many interesting things from your videos.
It is always a pleasure watching your channel. I am in the same industry and design and manufacture high precision tooling mainly for the fastener industry. Thank you.
I'd love to watch young Don make this V-block and then grind it true. Did young-Don use another V-block or a sine-table? And how do you check a V-block? ...my brain hurts. 🤕
Seems like a much more calm way to deal with people messing with tools in a toolmakers toolbox than I have. If someone asks, ok. If not....I may have lost my temper a couple of times.
Welcome back Don, always good content and enjoy watching channel
Thank you for watching.
A Don Bailey V Block made back when you were just starting out is priceless.
🙏✌️
I’m retired now but when I first started in a machine shop the old timers that trained me still wore neck ties and lab coats.
1:50 I love that Mr Bailey instinctively wipes the block before sliding it on the plate even though it's a demo video!

Perfect video, it’s also a good way for work holding when you’re measuring things on the height gauge
That is beyond a great tool. That V-block you made is a work of art as well.
Thank you very much!

Surprised Suburban tool doesn't offer a v-block with those same features. :-)
