      1956, depending on the part of the country, Little Richard probably couldn't use certain water fountains. Segregation is crazy to think about from today's perspective.

      The anthem of rock n roll in my opinion is "Long Tall Sally" it's perfect and pure, unrelenting music !!!!! nothing like it !!!!!! and I saw him in person !!!! he signed my book. Good golly miss molly !!!!!!!

    I have never seen an entertainer as good as Little Richard and I saw him when he was 62 on Cape Cod !!!!!!!!!!! Melody tent, I waited until his last number and went up to see him go n his dressing room, he was drenched in sweat and was spent from the performance. there is only one king of rock n roll, for me there is little Richard and them everybody else !!!!!! Words couldn't describe how much talent and bravado this man had, he was powerful in his voice, but steady all the way through all his recordings and I have most of them, truly a symbol of greatness !!!!!!

    I was 16..a sophomore in h.s. My best friend and I must've played this record a bazillion times! There's never been anyone who could hold a candle to his songs/singing. I still LOVE watching him and listening to his one-of-a-kind voice! I smile!

    I had an old 45 and played it over and over again. I was 11 and had a great time all my life because I never lost the charge I got from little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis.

      James brown and jimmy Hendrix started in Little Richards band, He was the true king of rock n Roll, Undisputed like no other, and I saw him perform, no special lights and music, no frills just pure rock n roll , and I mean Pure !!!!

    He’s sooo unique and has an incredibly strong and captivating voice. The way he sings, dances and jam that piano all together without even looking down is just incredible and makes him so talented. My dad first introduced me to this song when I was around 13 or 14 and since then I became a fan of Little Richard.

    In the'90's I saw him in concert in S. Ca. He was great. Outside after the concert he was handing out his Christian book & my girlfriend received one from him. Great man.

    He was so awesome to call out the Rock and Roll Hall of fame for overlooking his contribution to music. I wanted to meet this man and I was heartbroken when he passed. So many questions I wanted to ask if I ever had the chance to see him live.
