  • Learn which VA rating you may be eligible for if suffering from service-connected peripheral neuropathy. Veterans may receive service connection for peripheral neuropathy on a direct basis, by secondary service connection, or through presumptive service connection. VA does not have a specific diagnostic code for peripheral neuropathy and is often based on which nerves are involved (e.g. upper and lower peripheral neuropathy).

I have a service connected rated lumbar strain (Secondary). I get tingling, numbness, needling sensations in my upper and lower extremities. Would I need an IMO for requesting Radiculopathy secondary to my service connected lumbar strain? I have made a med trail within my VA portal documenting my symptoms. Thank you.

Gm. Do you know if pain management doc can diagnose SSD? My pos psychiatrist wont do it though all the symptoms are there. I see he is reviewed on google for being a louzy doc who doesnt listen to vets or accurately annotate their records.... i def chimed in on the bashing.
I did switch docs but wont be seen until next month. So again, question is can my pain mgmt doc diagnose SSD even though its considered mental health? Thanks

Hello I was rated for Finger pain as a musculoskeletal rating. However I also have ulnar and Median nerve damage. Would I be eligible to get my nerves separate from my finger ?

QUESTION: I am 70% PTSD and hearing combined. Should I try to increase to 100% PTSD? I filed for sleep apnea and was denied because the DR said " "The sleep apnea was "probably because of service connected" So they denied me. So I am given the option of a SUPPLEMENTAL CLAIM OR HIGHER LEVEL REVIEW. So now I either have to take it to the next level or get another Dr top re-write it. What should I do?. Not sure what would be the best route for getting to 100% Thanks! I would really appreciate the help

Sounds like all you need is a nexus letter that will solve your problem imo

I was exposed to Agent Orange. Had a presumptive cancer and received over 100 doses of chemo. Have had nerve damage in feet and hands from the chemo for the past 23 years and the VA is only giving me a Deferred rating. Nexus letters from 3 doctors. Any thoughts

This was a interesting claim for me. After 11 foot surgeries I was finally able to get the VA to budge off their initial rating of 30% to 60% for my right leg and 40% for my left leg, which put me over the top and not I draw 100% P&T.
