Something I realized after playing Plini's songs with my friends for the last 3 years. You need a drummer who can lock onto each beat and a backing guitarist who knows when to harmonize and can pick the right sound when the lead guitarist hits the melody.
Totally! So much of his music is about the production or performance of the song.
And we're not respected by most bands so we stop playing. The abuse is horrible some us get from band mates...so then we pick up other instruments ...and some of us find out we're better guitarists than drummersbut that is me,,....
play inside mostly major or lydian scale things or pentatonic, they make the melody sounds bright and prog
Super MasterClass For Modern Music
as always great formula from Plini
Lead Sound Great
other instrumen (drum, bass, rhythm) have great composition
Thanks for listening
Dude I LOVE your music.
Plini is the guy! 🤘
What´s the songs name?
What "type" of reverb does Plini use on his solo section on this video?
I was wondering how he gets the notes to sound so fluffy yet they pop out so much when picked and I was certain the tone starts with the neck pickup. Turns out it was the bridge pickup all along and I'm even more confused, but now I'm sure some sort of voodoo is involved.
What tuning is used ?
this is very easy......i usually avoid to much of the pentetonic stuff but....hell if it works it works
Very true! Sometimes keeping it simple is the most creative option
I dont understand how to get the sound he does when he mutes (x) on the string. Mines is making a few different mute sounds
Super stoked for this! We're also giving away the exact Strandberg signature guitar Plini used this week with a writing competition on pickupmusic.com. Check out those details here: app.pickupmusic.com/strandberg-giveaway-terms
Does anyone still work at pickup music? Whats the name of the song in this video?
Wait so do are these scales I can play or what i just want to know what notes to hit to sound good playing melodic solos this is new to me
Our course with Plini goes much deeper into scale choices and how to choose notes for a solo, we offer a 14-day free trial if you want to check it out!

Also here for that
There are melodic prog solos?
there sure are!
Is this one of his actual songs? If so what's the name?
This is a track called 'Ever After' from our masterclass with Plini
I wish the tab stayed up when he's playing at normal speed

Depends if you like Melodic Prog or not! 😉
@@Pickupjazz Sorry, I was in a short "trying to like Dream Theatre" again phase when I wrote this.
