Once you save a selection, it appears as a channel in the Channels panel. Go to Window > Channels.

Marty, I would love to put this design on a tee shirt. Would there need to be much of a change in the fx styles to do that? I know the resolution would need to be 300 dpi and the overall image would need to be larger. What are your thoughts? Great tutorial, as always, btw.

Yes, some of the filter setting amounts may need to be increased in consideration of the larger resolution. Just use your judgement. 👍

If you wanted the coin surface to be a smooth shiny area, you can just eliminate the gray background steps all together and just do the rest on the subject, right?

Eliminate the "grain" step in Camera Raw.

Your tutorial is awesome. But old tutorial doesn't suit for new users with latest photoshop. Because a lot of changes are included in latest photoshop. It would be better to make a special video that can explain difference between old and latest photoshop. Also explain the old tool vs New tool used in photoshop.
