They are comrade, guoba even has a demon alias, marchosias. From what we know the god that has demon name is very strong(archon/archon candidate). So i believe marchosias(guoba) is the 2nd strongest god in liyue after morax. Because no other god in liyue has a demon's name

@@knucklecandy8506 that is what i love about gouba; even tho he is strong he help people by cooking, cleaning, carrying thing, help the sick and other small thing which show his pure love for humanity unlike other archon/adepti who have other reason/believe.
@@knucklecandy8506 Guizhong's name is similar to Gusion, also a demon in the Ars Goetia. The description about that demon also kinda matches Guizhong's personality.

What made Guoba more adorable and like-able for me is his deeds when he was a god. He sacrifice his power for the ppl of Liyue and became an adorable panda that we all love now. ❤️

I'll be honest I got teary eyed with this whole quest, specially the sacrifices Guoba did for the people of Liyue. He's just too selfless. I guess Madam Ping was right, losing his memory also gave him more freedom.

I've always wondered why Keqing, Xiangling or, heck, even Traveler didn't ask Morax about Stove God.

@@CarydeS yeah but it prob gets a rerun. We got 2 dragonspine events. 1.1 and a few versions ago. Same as windrace. So we might get the islands back what was 1.6 for klee. Then probably this one day.

It was sad that xiao couldnt remember guoba/Marchosius. Guoba was really trying his best to get noticed by xiao since xiao was there alongside guoba, ganyu, zhongli and the other adepti in protecting the people of liyue but somehow xiao couldnt recognize him and when xiao left, guoba was really sad about it.
No wonder he was sad when we asked Xiao

@@duwan4241 I mean xiao knows marchosias but he doesnt know that guoba is the reincarnate of marchosias since I think only madame ping/yelan and rex lapis/zhongli know of it. so with respect to the stove god's sacrifice, xiao accepted that guoba and marchosias are two different beings

One thing that this quest satisfies for me is a perfectly reasonable explanation why Guoba's targeting paradigm is terrible: he gave up his intelligence to protect Liyue from a myriad of natural disasters.

I don't know but I somehow expected Zhongli to arrive exactly at the very end of the storyline quest event like a thousand miles away. Like "it would be so perfect if Zhongli was the ender of this event" and here we are
Zhongli is one of my favorite characters in the game. Setting aside his in game abilities, I think his character and his backstory is well written, and I'm always excited to see him during events because he expands the lore most of the time.
What I loved about this was the imposing presence of "Rex Lapis". Basically, the way even madame Ping has a different tone than usual in her voice in that first moment, a little insecure and showing respect to her leader, which was weird at first considering she is always the one giving advice to other people and stuff
I love how this event explains why Xiangling is OP. Now we just need an event to explain why Bennett is OP af too.

But his sheer Will and determination is the one making him the op pyro unit
It's the "Fire Emblem Peasant" syndrome: Benett is an unit that is pretty much unremarkable at first glance but has a hidden busted potential once you understand it. God I now remember all the resets I had to do on all FE games I played to get " good " level-up stats.

The most formal and sophisticated character in the game saying to Guoba “Hello, old friend” just made me feel so many things all at once and I love it
This entire quest could have been so much shorter if we would have gone to meet Zhongli first to find information. Literally asked all of Liyue before the one guy who actual knows (everything)
He was busy taking his stroll, best not disturb him while he reminisces of wine like the old man he is
Madame Ping knows it always too, but she let traveller to discover by themselves, i guess so would zhongli do the same thing if they meet first.

In this scene, Ping recalled Guoba only taught Morax and her the cuisine, so they three knew each other long before Zhongli mustered other adepts. Although Zhong wants no man to notice that, Zhong's retirement may be figured out by Ningguang, Ganyu and Hutao, they chose not to reveal either to respect Zhong's decision, who knows.
this is a bit unrelated, but you can really tell how much Zhongli cares for his fellow Adepti and the people of Liyue. It's what made him such a good Archon.

This show how great boss rex lapis was. Guoba was his comrade way back in guili plain, taught his people how to cook, even sacrificed all of his power to fertilized the land: for rex lapis' people. Guoba forgot his own memory, but zhongli isn't. Zhongli truly values his own subordinates

What I am saying is, Mondstadt is the land of Freedom, it has had no ruler since decarabia. They pray to Venti/barbatos but he gives the people free reign and practices no control over Mondstadt unlike Ei.

Throughout this quest, from figuring out who Stove God is and how almost every Liyue character has appeared (even Xinyan!) I was getting disappointed near the end that Zhongli wasn’t gonna make an appearance and would have gave us the clear answer… but then this final scene showed up and I started tearing up
