    Got a couple suggestions for you My first time doing this one but it might help some people before I tore the timing apart I marked the cams with a marker that way when the one on the left jumped. I left the old sprocket on there and I used a plier style oil filter wrench to turn it back on the gears to where it's supposed to be so I didn't have to go through all of that I have pictures but I'm not sure how to upload to show. it helped me out quite a bit I hope it helps somebody else and yes someone before you put the wrong bolt in on the left they are both matching bolts you can see the out line from the washer on the sprocket. Thanks again this video helped

    They make a tool for doing the chains. Its simple as falling off a log and inexsensive. I got one and it has two sets of prongs fastened to a locking plate that holds the chain in place. Just put the prongs through the sprocket holes after you line up you chain and turn the handle. Eezy Peezy. No messing around with zip ties. Part # 522902. Azone, Oriellys, Rock Auto I dont remember where I got it.

    That bolt on the passenger side cam is the wrong bolt. It should have a washer like the driver side. That's why the 19mm was loose.

    • @WindRider1
      @WindRider1 Před 3 měsíci +1

      It will work its way loose without any type of washer. Should be a 15mm just like the other side. All bolts need blue loctite too.

    Excellent video... I have two questions. Do I have to remove the admission body as well as the coils, injectors, and spark plugs to do this job? Or, in your case, were the cams also serviced, and that's why it is all disassembled? The other question is about the tensioner piston in the left side chain. I saw in another video that a mechanic removed the constraint plate that comes with it in order to increase the oil pressure to that piston and avoid issues with it down the road. Would you do that?

    I think I should be able to set the timing without the rocker arms installed? Then I shouldn't have to use the vice grips, should work?
