2023 PRI Day 1 Recap! Performance Racing Industry Invades Indy Again!

- It's early December so for any of us in the Performance Racing Industry that means one thing, the new PRI show! The 2023 PRI show is back in Indianapolis Indiana and this year the weather has played nice, which seems to have brought out a LOT of folks! PRI 2023 is an industry trade show geared specifically to the racing community, bringing together vendors, manufacturers, racing teams, wrenchers, and just about anything you could imagine under one giant roof!
For the 2023 Performance Racing Industry show we will once again, as we do every year, try to walk the floor and talk to some of our favorite folks from across the industries while taking you right along with. This is a 3 day show, so everything you see here in just slightly over an HOUR isn't even a THIRD of the show! Stay tuned for continued coverage over the next two days!
Also huge huge huge congratulations to the entire Street Racing Channel team for getting the SRC S10 back in one piece and beautified for display in the Melling booth. Thank you Jerry it's good to see people enjoy coming along on these adventures. I realize that a lot of folks won't have the opportunity to experience this show themselves, and it's a unique chance for me to show things off "through my eyes" which might be different than a normal attendee.

It's a great time but soooo much to take in and SO much walking! I did just short of 5 miles... IN ONE HALL today! And that's on short fat guy legs!

Thanks Austin for sharing. My family's been involved in Motorsports since the 40's.. I've owned Dirt Modifieds, Midgets and Sprint Cars. I've been invited numerous times to this show and always decline. Over the years I've had great product sponsors. I retire in March and will be back to vintage Sprint Car stuff. I will be attending next year without a doubt. Something I should have been doing a long time ago.

It's funny but I first attended PRI back when it was held in Cincinatti. I attended many times when it was held in Columbus, OH too. Back then they restricted the use of cameras, videos, etc. With the introduction of Go Pros and smart phones that restriction was dropped as unenforceable.
It's also essentially free PR and marketing for them and the vendors as well. They don't have to bother covering the event, because "we" do it for them, and have larger more active social networks 😉
