Mai ek regular ELSS fund purchase ki hai broker se. 3 saal ka lock in period khatam ho gaya. Abhi ki mai regular se direct kar sak ta hu. Pls suggest
Switch here means you have to close the regular plan fund you are investigating & start investing in the same fund directly with new folio number. There is no facility to change from regular plan to direct plan without closing/ redeeming the existing fund.
Yes, that is what I explained in the video. Switch means redemption of existing units of regular plan and fresh purchase of units of direct plan Folio no. can be same. It's allowed to have multiple schemes of an AMC under the same folio.

Its not switching actually, i guess. Its like normal redemption and then investing that lump sump in direct fund and SIP thereafter.

If u don't like current portfolio, u can change whole portfolio at once. There is no harm in that.

Get 'Little educated' about UR investments which takes less time, believe me I hv done it. Direct plans are always better. Regular plans पर आप काफी commission चुकाते हो, जीतना समय ज्यादा आपका नुकसान ज्यादा। बिलकुल ऐसा की एक vessel जिसमे आप अपना पैसा invest कर रहे हो और उसमे छेद हो। 😊

Sir,plz answer how I can change my SIP from Regular to Direct in the same M.F
Cancel SIP in regular plans and submit fresh SIP registration request in same schemes but direct plans. Future investment will go in direct plans. If you also want to switch the existing corpus to direct plan then you can submit switch request but remember that exit load as well as Capital Gain Tax may be applicable.

Can u stop the regular plan and start new folio in direct plan without redeem the funds?
Yes, you can initiate future SIPs in a new folio under direct plan. The existing fund can also be switched into that but exit load and Capital gain tax may be applicable on it.

How do i know my plan is regular or direct
If u dont know, that itself means ur plan must be regular. Because in direct plan, u handle everything on own with complete knowledge with no help from any agent / bank.

Actual point yai hai ki Direct plan mai karo... Never go through a regular plan...Regular plans have Lower NAV with a high expense ratio. So the annual return is very less.
