Morel speculated in the chimera ant arc that Pariston "The Vice Chairman" was only assigning jobs for people that would vote for him in the next election. Which lead to Cheetu escaping because the association didn't send the hunter that was suited for him "Likke". Morel also suspected that Pariston was purposefully trying to impede the mission to exterminate the ants because the more casualties there were, the more Netero's prestige would diminish. This is someone that lives to cause chaos
Also Pariston does not care about the association lmfao, I guess that shows how good of a politician he is to fool a watcher into thinking he cares. To me it was clear all throughout that he is simply an actor and that is indeed what he is, he simply pretends

Damn, Gon's injured body looked like a raisin that was out in the sun too long. That technique he used during the Chimera Ants arc really did a number on him. I'm with you Miss Sam, seeing Gon's ragged body, gives a whole new context and depth to what he did in the Chimera Ants arc.

Pariston is the ultimate joker/troll in this show. Usually, men who have nothing to lose are the strongest and most difficult to counter. Had it not been for Ging and the deceased chairman Netero who can play along on the same level of mentality as him, the zodiacs, along with the rest of the hunter association (and possibly the world) would've kneeled down to this guy. Pariston is by far my favourite character despite all the mysterious aura surrounding him, the little things we know about him plus being a triple star hunter says enough.

Pariston is a lot like Hisoka: Both are extremely cunning, talented and only care about themselves. The difference is that while Hisoka has fun by seeking out the next difficult fight, Pariston has fun by seeding Chaos, manipulating people to obey him against their will.

My mom had a coin size cracked in her skull and yet she fought for her life for at least a couple of years. Even though she slowly losing her memories you can sense she was still figthting. Its funny how some people worry so much about a simple cut on their finger, try to work as a labor on any ordinaryjob and you will get that kind of wound every single day
