My next vote will be for the person who flicks off two excess flags. My vote is for one flag everywhere !
It doesn't matter who you vote for. The corporations are in charge.
There's no logical reason why a labour govt would flood the Australian labour market with masses of cheap overseas labour to compete with Aussies for jobs, suppress wages and generally decrease workers standard of living. Flooding the Australian labour market with masses of cheap overseas labour only benefits the corporations who get a bigger market/ increased revenue and a lower wages bill. Who do you think is really running the country?
Thank God someone else thinks like me, they are like mini national entities and laws unto themselves, have avoided paying tax like everyday PAYE earners but use all the resources and utilities that we have paid for , and all hail the big US banks who back them. This is also why they are thriving but states like California are dying on the vine. San Francisco is virtually a no go zone, no employment , huge taxes etc, this corporate greed and expansion model is seriously undermining global communities everywhere. At the rate AI is churning out their agenda human beings living in large cities will be seriously challenged and I personally believe that is one reason their is a huge global housing shortage, most sane people do not want to live in a high rise with no fresh air , toxic fumes miles from ammenities, run by some distant corporate entity.
Regarding the comments on the indigenous flag flying equally with the national flag behind Albanese, I also take strong objection to the ceremonial preambles - honouring the ‘former owners’ ie - the past, present and future ‘Hunter gatherers’ before our government can operate at any level. It’s total nonsense!
Just a second! Do you expect the actions and words of a professor from Cambridge from a cheap clown? The clown makes counter decisions based on the teachings of Adam Smith and Sun Tzu. Our hero is ignorant and insignificant, although millions voted for his party.
It has its place but the acknowledgement of country has gone overnoard
Build new coal power stations on old coal power station sites.
One reason is that the earth needs more Co2.
Coal is good, but the upside/downside is the technology is very simple so we could improve our infrastructure value by building gas and/or nuclear. same with our industry. we produce only primary resources and do very little refining. SAD. We waste most of the value. The Fact we are exporting iron ore and coal at all, and not steel is a bloody tragedy. Ore is mostly Oxygen!!!
@@benbennett5301 let’s face it.
Australia is a lazy country. We only bother with the very low hanging fruit.
Sadly I’m sorry to say that I’m pessimistic about it’s future.
I’ve been in Indonesia for 2 years now.
I just had to get out of that fantasy bubble where people are consumed with the trivial and don’t take the time do do some basic research into important topics..
I have motor neurone disease and I’m scared to go back because so many women are angry and aggressive.
I have to be so careful what I say because I cannot physically defend myself anymore.
It’s so sad to see what has happened to Australia in the last 24 years.
Btw I’m a former advisor to the US Government and Australian Government on Agriculture and Environmental policy.
Im the top scientist in my field in the world.
My work is US Government policy.

But I couldn’t get any support from Australian universities and agribusinesses because of the endemic corruption.
@@peterkramer288 Sounds like we need an attitude readjustment
@@peterkramer288 Well It is nice talking to you then.
@@benbennett5301 yes big time because Australia is headed for a very big fall.
Australia is ruled by the woke complex.
Their aim is to destroy our society and economy and they are succeeding.
I’m not sure we need to be pulling more gas out of the earth. Australia is the worlds 3rd largest exporter of gas, but only 2 % of that gas is used domestically and we use more gas in converting it to LNG, but our government continues to tell us we’re in shortage.
Start demanding this country gets its fair share in export revenue, but also keep the right amounts, of gas, in reserve for the population to use. It’ll reduce our power bills, not just for residents, but for businesses as well.
A simple adjustment that’ll make a monumental difference 🤷♂️
What about the "welcome to country" being forced on us everywhere we go?
We need more people standing up against the global warming scam.
Global warming is propaganda to weaken Saudi Arabia because that's good for Israel
Agreed.
Let us know what those listed below don’t.

I m hearing Tony Abbott and Peter Dutton both raising the urgency of implementing Nuclear Power in order reduce C02 emissions! Doesn't this clearly mean there's a final acknowledgment, that global warming is real and why they're calling for Nuclear ?
Great Interview 👍
Wind and solar are NOT cheaper than any alterative because they always require a double system. The demonisation of coal is a disgrace.

Wind turbines and solar panels . Made where ? I have solar panels and a battery, and still find power expensive. I worry how others even afford to turn on the heater
Always look forward to listening to Tony Abbott on IPA.
This guy is discredited as an Aussie PM why you want to listen to his opinion. I don't.
@@yttean98That's your opinion then. Many people like Abbott also.
@@Nathan-ry3yu would you listen to a failed leader, I don't, time better spent elsewhere. Furthermore there are more important ideas out there to listen to and know and learn. Agree Labor is no longer the party that was formed in Qld at Barcaldine.
It wouldn't be so bad if the Australian Flag was in the middle
I remember we asked Mr Abbott when he visited us in Afghanistan if he could somehow get our berets back...We got them back.
The man who offered Prince Philip a knighthood 😅😅

Rather than The Street being misguided , we can safely say The Politicians are the misguided - certainly the case here in Australia with both Labor AND Liberal / National Parties .
The Hon Tony Abbott, The most Logical and well spoken Australian of All Time.
@@granth9352 yes I’m beginning to see that.
Yes indeed and always tells the truth which is a severe handicap these days of left wing lunacy.

@@rogermanning9039 Is this the guy who railed against the Royal Commission into institutionalised responses into child sex abuse because it would only be a witch hunt against the Catholic Church. You know the same bloke who expects women to consider issues when they are at the ironing board. He did not actually say that while he was eating an onion but just as well may have.
He passed me in Melbourne airport, even from about 5 meters away, ( and I am by no means psychic ) one could feel the bad vibes emanating from his carcass. He inflicted infinite harm on the country , as witnessed when he was ejected after a relatively short time after he betrayed a huge number of his election promises, over time he has solidified into an obdurate antediluvian lump , about 2 million years behind the times.
Tony is such a good communicator explains his position very well and a underrated PM
What drugs are you on?
I will pick you up on one point Tony and that is we don’t need to get more gas from the ground all we need to do is stop sending it overseas for FREE or almost free. We send 56% overseas free and Australia only uses less than 20% of what we produce each year.

Tony Abbott - the man who should NOT be Australia's ex Prime Minister. Okay, this is the opinion of a New Zealander. But Kiwis are sometimes right. Why on earth did you toss the man for Turnbull? It's a modern mystery.
A newspaper kept publishing a poll that Abbott was loosing popularity amongst voters. Turnbull used this to get politicians to turn on Abbott and remove him as P.M. Abbott was never voted out as P.M., he was removed by dodgy politicians in his own party.
No bloody idea how repugnant bully boy traitor achieved that. Destroyed the liberal party. Tony wonderful man 😊
Donald J Trump is the best President in my life time. The best 4 years under his administration.
Australia is an international embarrassment, not the greatest country on earth.
Aussies are the wealthiest people on earth.
Yes but greater wealth usually implies complacency, laziness, moral and economic decline.
Plus our IQ would be substantially lower were it not for immigration of educated young people.

Interesting the overturning of the Chevron Defference in USA -The Chevron deference is a legal principle that has been used by federal courts in the United States for nearly 40 years. It is a doctrine that gives latitude to federal agencies to interpret the statutes they administer. The way I interpret this that the Constitution becomes the precedent.
As far as defence is concerned why not consider paying an annual fee to the US to lease all their current technology and equipment. That way if a conflict were to break out we would have current up to date equipment so that we can contribute seamlessly. This would of course mean becoming part of the nuclear umbrella as there no point in having the latest weapons if we are potentially firing blanks. Our equipment is basically old and obsolete for the main part whereas integrating totally with the US seems to me to make perfect sense. 11:49
As much as I liked Tony Abbott as our leader, you still sound like your standing on the fence with some of your comments. I prefer the Tony that took the leadership who stood up for Australian’s with saying climate change is crap. Come In Albanese is a pice of you know what.
What an interesting article I agree only the Australian flag must be used most of the time it represents all of us patriotic Australians God bless this Great Southern Land represent Australia that has welcomed so generously immigrants and refugees be loyal to this country

Love Tony Abbott, a very attacked and underrated Prime Minister.
Uncle Tony fresh from his big triumph in the UK of tipping the Tories to have a big Election victory. Well we know what happened to that prediction. Where do you go after a string of similar disasters? To the Institute of Pubic Affairs, of course. 🤔

Sorry but only when Tony Abbott apologizes to Pauline Hanson publicly for her imprisonment, his views are nulll and void.
Yep .
What has Abbott got to teach anyone, he was an effective opposition leader, as all he had to do was to be negative, but he was a bloody disaster as a prime minister , I suppose he senses a kindred spirit in trump, who will be equally disastrous with his 10% tariffs on any imports.
Dear Tony, Donald Trump is a dashing hero. You don't want to condescend to him.
