Good for him! I’m about to be living in a tent in a campground/multiple ones if I have to keep moving. I’m a little worried but also kind of excited. They’re cheap and sometimes free, some of them even have water, electricity, showers, toilets, and sewage hookups if you need it, and they’re pet friendly which works well for me since I have loads of pets. My plan is to have a wagon to carry my belongings along with an 80L backpack, Long Island doesn’t have wild animals that are really harmful thankfully, there’s no bears as far as I know and none of the snakes are dangerous to human beings. I already sleep comfy on my floor at home so a sleeping bag with a pad and thin pillow will work just fine for me. I’ll have a knife and pepper spray for self defense, but I also have a boxer hound mix who I know will protect me lol. During winter, I’ll go upstate and stay in a cheap Airbnb and then come back down to Long Island for spring, summer, and fall! And in the event that a campground doesn’t have showers and toilets thankfully I’ll have a foldable portable toilet and a solar shower bag so I can stay clean.
