  • Kohima, August 14: Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) celebrated its 78th Nagaland Independence Day at Chedema Peace Camp in Nagaland on August 14.
    Kedahge Gen. (Retd) Viyalie Metha graced the people of Nagas. He reminded that the FGN will continue to uphold the Ceasefire Agreement of 6th September, 1964 between the Government of India (GoI) and the FGN with non-violence policy.
    Metha paid his unfathomable respect to those national leaders who took the right decision at the right time and who had sacrificed their lives and their all for the right cause of the Nation.
    The programme was led by FGN Homaki (Education) kilonser Akho Meru.
    Highlights of the event: Special songs, cultural songs and dances from Old Minister’s Hill Women Prayer Fellowship, Kohima, Jessami village, Chakhesang Region, Rüzhazo village Baptist Church VBS group, Chakhesang Region, Chaonamai Village Women Society Shepoumaramth Region, Akutalü Tiinyi & Ano Sachü and Vevezo Curhah.
