Hello Ramkumar, how can a vip, as a cluster resource registered to stay on a particular node, switch to another node???
Hi Sir, it is clear, what happens in case of vip failure if some query is ongoing....
Sir you are ultimate :) (y)
Thanks... Enjoy Learning
Why connect via vip ? Why not ip as it seems like they do the same thing... As you stated that if one node vip of that node will move to the next node but won't take a new connection ......
The reason to connect to VIP , is to ensure a response comes back to the client... if the request went to the HOST IP, the client has to wait for a TCP/IP timeout, whereas when using a VIP, the client gets a immediate response... Hope this clarifies...
Please 2 videos per day 😀😊
