  • Let me know if you enjoyed this style of video on France, and how Les Bleus became the best national football team in the world, before ending on the theoretical side of things, and how England and France may just be the future of both the World Cup and International football as a whole
    Also comment if you think it's coming home with the three lions, or if France may win the whole thing, or even if neither team is winning the World Cup.

    They’ve come a long way from their dark days. Now they are on to win potentially the 3rd wc in my lifetime, fingers crossed. they’ve became the talent factory of the world and have produced their own best players as well as the best players for Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Senegal, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Benin, Togo, Mali, Niger etc. French suburbs > Brazilian favelas atm in producing top tier talent. although the players in the balouies benefit from having immigrant parents, grand parents etc.

    France have built a great team and the indlux of immigrants to assist in rebuilding the country after war assisted from Platini of Italian origin to Mbappe of Cameroonian origin, the reason why England is on the way to challenge France is due to the fact that they are replicating the same method, Harry Kane is of Irish origin, Grealish is of Irish origin, Barkley is of Nigerian origin and so forth, same as the Belgian golden generation Lukaku, De Bruyne and a few other were of foreign origin

    3:16 Other than France in 1962 and 1990-1994, there are four nations that failed to qualify for the next World Cup immediately after finishing third place:
    -Portugal (Third place in 1966).
    -Sweden (Third place in 1998).
    -Turkey (Third place in 2002).
    -Netherlands (Third place in 2014).
    In addition, third placed teams from Europe (except Germany in 2006-2010 and Belgium in 2018) often failed to qualify for the next European Championship immediately.
    Croatia might fall to victim of this curse if they failed to qualify for Euro 2024 and 2026 WC.

      Belgium qualify for euro 2020 was under a new qualifying system which not only has 24 teams since 2016, but also the nations league introduced after 2018 world cup. Hence, the curse of third place team not qualify for the next euros might have ended since Belgium qualifing euro 2020.

    They became good by turning into black

    • @synkaan2167
      @synkaan2167 Před měsícem

      And being black makes you so good at football that the best country are all from Africa right ?
      French became good by reforming their formation system in the 80s.
      And Immigrants being poor and football being a popular sports easy to access in the suburbs, some immigrants have always been great at football, being white from Poland and Italy (Kopa and Platini) or black from Africa (Pogba and Mbappé) doesn't really matter, as I said what's matters is the sociocultural context and the French formation system.
      Oh and there is also black players from France (Tresor in the 80s, or Henry for instance whose family have been French for a verryyy long time).
      So you are right the French team has become more black than before but your conclusion couldn't be more wrong lol.

      - One Algerian grandfather (while Algeria was French)

      They were born in our country

    • @synkaan2167
      @synkaan2167 Před měsícem

      All those players are French, grew up and were trained in France and 95% were also born in France.
      Plus there is also a ton of players born and trained in France but playing for Portugal, Morocco, Algeria and other national teams, France produced 50 players of the 2018 world cup (I didn't look the numbers for the last wc) that's way more than any other country. So France isn't stealing players but the other way around...
      And if you are wondering why there is so much black in the French national team, well football is a popular sport, especially in the suburbs, most players have always come from poor families, back in the 50s-80s those guys were sons of Polish, Italian or Portuguese immigrants, and now most of them are the sons or grand son of Algerian, Guinean, or Malian immigrants they are just as much French as their predecessors.
      Oh and you should not forget the French West Indies, over there most of the population is black but Martinique or Guadeloupe have been French longer than the region of Savoy or the city of Nice for example... Thierry Henry's family or more recently Raphael Varane's family are fully French.
      You are mixing up being African and being black like it's the same thing... you can be black and be French with a French family going back to the 17th or 18th century for example...
      Fun fact, in the 18th century France already had a black general while the US still had racial segregation 60 years ago...
