- Elizabeth Armer, the woman who married Jake Wagner in Alaska and moved back with the family to Ohio, took the witness stand Friday, describing her time living in the family's home two years after eight members of the Rhoden family were murdered in Pike County. So her police officer 'friend' says call if you need help, she calls, needing help after being threatened, and he tells her she's being 'emotional' and wants to talk to the person threatening her. Thats a crappy friend and it's terrifying that he's a police officer.
That part was truly awful. Then people will say things about victims of abuse like "wHy DiDn'T sHe JuSt lEaVe?" Some people have no support system to leave. The abuser(s) can be excellent at manipulating others outside of the situation although this "friend" seemed to have already decided that she was over reacting and "emotional." 🤦♀️

What an outstanding witness. This woman was the true definition of a star witness. No matter what she went through, they couldn’t get to her. She got on the stand she painted a painfully detailed portrait of just how f*cked up this family was.
I agree…Didn’t they say she was “weird”.. no she was the only one in that family that seemed to know what it meant to provide for the emotional needs of the children…and wasn’t allowed to do so. That adds even more stress. 😔

Wow, wow, wow! She is not only poised under pressure, but she is an insightful young woman. Her journal entries about Angela's dysfunctional personality and behavior were spot on.

Since Angela has a habit of accusing other women of inappropriate touching it makes me wonder if this is something she does. It’s often the case as in when a spouse is having an affair they accuse their partner of the same behaviour. It seems to be something she’s obsessed with.
I honestly think she was inappropriate with her sons. She used to get into bed with her married son George, whilst he and his wife lived in Angela's house, and would rub his back at night. Tabitha and Beth did a fantastic job on the stand. They are also survivors of the Wagner family. Hannah Rhoden was equally as strong and intelligent to get out of the dysfunctional relationship with Jake. Sadly, her life as well as her family's life were taken by the Wagners because she would not allow them to control her. She was an incredibly strong 19 year old woman. RIP to the 8 human beings that lost their lives by a family of pure evil!

Tabbitha escaped within an inch of her life, like Elizabeth did. The Wagner's threatened to beat her to death with a baseball bat wrapped with razor sharp barbed wire, named Lucille.

I can't help but to think Angela was abusing Bulvine and Sophia to make it appear Beth was abusing them sexually and immediately make her an enemy. Jake wanted a love interest and Angela was too jealous to even let Beth out of her sight. Angela imo was so obsessed with controlling her family, she was willing to let them go to jail or die by lethal injection all in the name of the family cult (ure) and control.

After working in a County Common Pleas Court for 9 years, i am well aware of how young people can make mistakes about who they choose to be with, and the terrible sh t that happens sometimes. But how in the world could this poor young woman have foreseen what was in her future. All the best to you, Ms Armer. We hope you can shake as much of this nightmare off as is possible for you.

Beth Ann did an excellent job. I feel so sorry for her and what she went through. You can see how fearful she is. I am glad she was able to escape. I hope she has a much better life now.
When she first took a drink of water and you could literally see her hand tremble in fear, I felt so very terrible for her. Hopefully after all this she can go on to live a very happy life with a completely normal family who isn't psycho and controlling.

I found out that my ex mil (controlling narcissistic martyr matriarch of a big family) accused me (to others) of poisoning my kids. And before me accused another of my sis in laws of the same thing, plus poisoning her husband! When I was told these things by the 3rd sister in law (estranged) that's when I knew I was right and that woman was crazyyy.

And Hanna didn’t get to raise her children. She was a young mother, but she was a very good mother. Her two little girls were robbed of their mom, grandparents, uncle, and more. @@spicyirwin5835 I can’t imagine how horrific it was for any of those girls to have to live with her, and the rest of them. She was like the Jim Jones of their family. The husband, and sons did whatever she said. And took every word she told them as truth. There’s definitely nothing wrong with loving your grandchildren. But she had more of an obsession than love for her grandchildren in my opinion. She wanted Hanna and Dana murdered so she would be the only woman in Sophia’s life. I think it’s a miracle that Tabitha made it out alive. But she, and Beth will probably suffer trauma for the rest of their lives because of the experience with that psycho family. I might be wrong, but I think Angela has feelings for her sons that aren’t exactly normal either. She’s definitely obsessed with them too. She never wanted them to be happy with their girlfriends, or wives. She always tried to cause problems. And that’s a huge understatement! To go so far as accuse someone of poisoning children, and touching them inappropriately, is whacko!
Like I said, this family, and the whole case is just mind blowing.

This young lady is so brave for fighting for her own life, but for also helping the Rhoden family get Justice. She didn’t own anyone her testimony, but she did it for her. Part of her healing, I’m sure. So fucking brave!

This young lady went through hell with this horrible family, death threats, false accusations and basically living in fear and imprisoned in the home.
It took a lot of courage for her to take the stand and testify to what she witnessed while living with them.
