I got asked if I'd build a preset around the Mesa Boogie Lonestar - which is my favourite amp in the Quad Cortex - killer cleans and also tons of gain, so it is really an ideal amp for almost all situations - just ask @andytimmonsguitarx-perienc7391

As much as I like gear I'm addicted to your channel because I love hearing you play.
Lonestar is a mix between Fender and Vox. Has the glassiness of a Vox and the fullness and feel of a Fender. Love it to death.
Love the walkthrough of how you go through getting a great tone. These videos help me a ton! Keep up the good work
I just got the QC and love your videos on it. They have been a so helpful, thank you so much. Also you guitar plying is stellar.
Your opening track was just beautiful, came for the Cortex review but stayed for the playing..xox...Loved it.
Thank you for another excellent video on the quad cortex. Please keep making them!
He’s done it again. Another 2 minute masterpiece.
Awesome! Would love it on the cloud!
Sound very good thanks
The Lonestar is my favourite in the FM9 as well !!
Not sure if you have yet, but I’d definitely love for you to share this one! Love a good Mesa sound!
Also, I have to ask, which pickups are in this guitar (and your other K-Lines). I have a Fender Pro Strat and I’d be very interested in trying something different in it.
Yes, I’d love that dropped on the cloud! :)
This was the one mesa boogie amp I really enjoyed playing, probably cause it was the most “fender” sounding.
Lonestar is a great amp in the Valeton GP-200 as well!
hello....I'm a big fan of yours, I've been following you for a long time...I'm curious if you could make a video with a pod hd500x or hd series with a cabinet simulator ir loader in loop...I'd be curious about the result obtained by you considering how good all multiprocessors sound when you use them
Super nice sound can I find it on the cloud?
Excellent work John! I'm unable to find you in Neural Cloud app. Neither you (thought there is Johnathan Cordy, but he doesn't look like you), nor your presets... Can you tell me where to find this preset for example?
Thank you
Hi I use a QC, I would like to hear your thoughts on using dual amps and how to set each amp respectively. I usually have each amp set the same and pan them hard L&R. I run them after my stereo fx on my pedal board. I’m trying to keep a balanced stereo image but i hear people say that if you set both amps the same they will sound smaller? Loved this Video! Thanks John.
I would also love to hear your thoughts and tips on this topic John! 🙏🏻😊 I haven't really found any helpful videos on how to set up stereo amp presets on the QC.
Did you upload this to the cloud? My QC comes in tomorrow and I would love to try it!
Totally agree. Lonestar is my favorite in the QC. Would love to get your dialed-in lonestar rig in the cloud.
I’m thinking of trading my Fillmore 50 combo for a Lonestar but it’s soooo much amp. Is the thirty watt special worth it? Thank Mr. Cordy
He actually has a rig uploaded to the cloud called Giggity. I use it live in a Top 40 Coverband and it‘s just awesome!
Is the Quad Cortex mostly geared for Metal Players ? I am looking to get a Multi-effect. What Multi-effect good for mostly clean tones and Hard Blues tones ? The FX, Kemper ?
I don't think it's necesarily aimed at metal players but the modern metal player doesn't have the aversion to digital units and modelers that most older classic rock/blues players have
It’s for any player. From cleans to crunch to high gain. Like all modelers. But this one imo has the feel and the sound and the best UI.
The Lonestar is my top amp!
Mine too
I use the Lonestar 100% of the time with the QC. It sounds awesome. I would like to have a real one, but it's too heavy....35 Kg for the combo....o.O
Mesa booogie. Mesa Boooooogey
