I truly feel that Penix injury history is constantly blown out of proportion. You want a QB for the raiders that’s a leader and shown the ability to handle adversity. He came out of his injuries and not only came back healthy, but put up 4500 back to back yd seasons!!! So he not only came back but came back better! QB is the MOST important position on the team. You cannot afford to ride shit out. You get Penix at 13. And bc you have AOC and Gardner, is why you can take that risk.

It comes down to if you believe Penix is a generational talent or at least a top franchise qb for many years, than you don't pass on him because you are lucky he's even there when we pick because of past injuries. If you don't, then you fill up those holes. I believe he is elite and that for our franchise future, it's way more risky to pass on him. I've wanted to build a defensive culture for so long and build trenches but Penix is probably the only exception I would make to delay that until rd 2 etc

Eli has beaten the qb who is considered the goat
Aiden has beaten the best qb in the nfl today. And dont forget, if the defense played as good in kc, in Lv, Raiders may have beaten KC twice. Raiders were up 14-0 in Lv.
And if your a fan who wants a rookie qb in the first round.
You honestly believe Davante Adams wants to play with another rookie qb again????
And dont go saying, cj stroud made the playoffs.
    Folks do some hw.
First, houston does not have kc in their division.
Second, stroud went 4-4 in his first 8 games. 4-4 in the afc west will probably be bad. Sd with harbaugh and the swiftys with Mahomes.
Contain yourself, Raiders will and should be drafting a LINEMAN with the 13th pick. Raiders have to see this rookie playing well by mid season.
And for those of you who say any rookie QB will be better than Aidan week one of the preseason. Hahaha. You obviously don't know football. Most, if not all, college highlights are just that. College highlights. And don't forget, how many rookie QBs last season got hurt on run plays.

Hate to say it but the Raiders won't be shit until they find a franchise QB. I honestly don't think Tom Telesco is the answer at GM. I think AP is alright but I just think he's in a no win situation in the AFC west. Just look at the other coaches in the division...look at the QB in the division...yeah Denver don't have a decent QB yet. But once Peyton drafts his QB this draft he will coach him up to be a franchise QB. We don't have a Coach on our staff that is good at coaching up a QB we may draft. Our QB coach is a joke and has been fired everywhere he's been. So I don't see anything promising for this season. The best thing the Raiders could and should do is build that defense into a monster thru the draft. I wouldn't even force it drafting a QB that isn't going to be any good. Some of these so called great QBs in this draft will end up bust. Not all of them but probably the majority will be. Telesco hasn't really done nothing in free agency other than Wilkins. Does he think he's getting starters in the draft at CB,OG,RT and LB depth. I know they can't feel comfortable with the roster they have now. If so it's going to be a long season. AP went 5-4 last year when thrust into an extremely worse situation as an interim. We didn’t have a “franchise guy” at QB last year and he still had a winning record. This year he actually is coming into the role with experience at HC, his actual guys in the coaching staff, an off-season and draft to have a team built with the full culture he wants, OTAs, mini-camps, training camp, preaseason, etc.
