The best part of this interview was cut off... 😆 Running on dopamine as he did, he might have gotten lost in an online video-game and never emerged long enough again to do any new recording. - Perhaps video-game soundtracks. Probably we'd watch his actual playthroughs right now.
I could see the hand/body tracking stuff being useful for performance or inputting parameters over time but yeah i don't think anyone's made a particularly useful interface for any sort of productivity for VR. It's really just kinda difficult to do any amount of work for any amount of time without running in to wearing a headset being uncomfortable.
@@LukeCantPlayBass For sure, as talented an artist as he was he could also be a bit of an asshole, he divided royalties up for the band towards the end of his life, I like to think it was his smack habit that had an affect on his persona towards the end, still such a terrible loss to this day.
I'm surprised he's familiar with The Shamen, musicians that I'm a fan of from back in my teen years. They are most well known for their pop-techno tracks, but they did some cool experimental B-side stuff which is the direction they wanted to go in, but their label, One Little Indian, insisted on more mainstream albums. The Shamen call them "One Little Idiot". I should google them and see if they're still active.
The clip is trimmed, but I'm imaging there part of a "mind machine" type thing, usually some sort of combination of a noise machine and flashing lights inside the glasses.
maybe im pretentious, but I feel like, apart from VR and cool games, Kurt would have really hated how technology has changed society. I feel like he would be the first person to be sick of social media and all that jazz.
im pretty sure he wouldn't have done what he did in '94 if we gave him a trip to today so he could see the modern technologies, homes, cars, medicine and his favorite music genre, pop music. its hard to believe it but its very true kurt would have loved taylor swift.
iirc Krist sarcastically said they were gonna do a hip hop album but we've heard Kurts guitar over Kid Cudi and Kanye so who knows, I feel like if they stuck to Grunge they would've tried something like what Soul Glo did on Diaspora Problems.
He constantly name dropped a lot of great music with less recognition, he said he loved underground music. And honestly even though he was in the music industry, all the artists and music he listened and found out prior to the internet being an established concept as it is today I think is quite impressive
Rip Kurt Cobain, you would’ve loved gorilla tag
fr
It’s a shame
Yeah, he already loved Blur, his favorite song of 1991 apparently was “There’s no other way” their first single I think.
He would shoot myself cuz he can’t catch the kids
HELP
If only he saw it today (totally would have stoned while playing dumb on beat saber)
Yo totally weed 420 bro 😊
yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurp
Pretty sure Kurt hated weed? Unless you mean stoned on heroin LMAO
@@extremelynormalperson lol
No he was a creative genius who worked hard not some deadshit weed stoner
kurt’s skyrim vr mod load order would’ve went crazy 🔥
The mod that replaces the entire Skyrim soundtrack to My Friend Foot Foot by the Shaggs (on loop) would be top of the mod list.
rest in piece kurt, you wouldve loved vrchat
With the amount of people on there I’ve seen saying they’re “Kurt cocaine” I’m not so sure
I hope you're joking, if he could wake up from his grave and see what's happening right now he would immediately k himself a second time...
Cobain name dropping The Shaman IS A TRIP
Eezer Goode, eeezer Goode, he’s Ebeneezer Goode
Damn kurt would never get to play gta 6 rest in piece my goat
We never will either! :-P
He couldn't even play the 3rd
couldn't even play the first bro
2024 games suck, thats a good thing he is not around to see such garbage video games!
Or, GTA 1 for that matter.
This hit different for some reason. Just the candidness and introspective into what he enjoys. Miss you guy.
Honestly wonder if kurt cobain liked video games
Yeah, He had some game boys
And they played Mario/SuperMario with Krist/Dave
He did. I read that one of the things they bought with their advance money for Nevermind was an NES.
There is a picture somewhere of him playing video games with Dave I believe so probably.
@@p0llenp0nyit was actually an snes
He said he never got a chance to find somewhere to test it out and then 3 seconds later he said he tested it for one hour today.
Why did I get this recommended
Because Kurt Cobain is cool
@@underkiev6514I agree
Kurt is 🐐
Fr tho
@@underkiev6514 I don't even know him 😭
Kurt was so far ahead of his time in every way
This is something that isn’t mentioned enough. Kurt basically or if not created grunge and had the emo type style that people only talk about today.
I don’t think you guys know what you’re talking about. Kurt didn’t invent grunge and everyone dressed in thrift store clothing way before Kurt Cobain
Except for shooting himself in the head. That wasn't very ahead of his time
@extremelynormalperson yes it was... his ahead was at the end of the shotgun LOL
Too bad he doesn’t have A Head anymore
Every song I see as A.I seems to be Nirvana.
You can see how open minded he was to the concept. He had a very new way of looking at things. He was way ahead of his time
Rip Kurt you would've loved vine

Imagine If He's streaming Playing skyrim
My guess is that he read Neuromancer and became interested in VR due to apocalyptic punk vibes of the book.
Imagine Kurt Cobain hang out with anime woman that is voiced by man in vr chat lol
I know he would’ve loved Pavlov, RIP
Wait and see what we have in the 2090s
its taken 30 more years and its still awfull for music production

Kurt Cobain: im not a rock star.
He sure seems to enjoy being on camera 😆😆😆
Yeah he would say that but would also obsess over interviews and public appearances he was always a mystery
@@LukeCantPlayBass He loved the fame, it was all a publicity smokescreen and this is coming from a huge Nirvana fan

You think he has a discman or a walkman on? I saw the headphones 🎧
What glasses did he wear? In the video

He looked surprisingly sober here. Was this really as late as 1993 ?
what would kurt do in vrchat?
He would be a mirror dweller
meow hopefully

Why is he dressed like Shaggy Rodgers
Virtual reality! The guy couldn't handle standard reality
his mind would have been blown by VR but he found a way to blow his mind away back in 1993!

hed be happy to see the world get worse? im not sure i follow. he got out at about the right time.
But he loved punk, why would he like something that he so rejected like popular and prefabricated music?

sorry Kurt... but VR make you super stomach sick... 🤢
Where is the rest of the clip?
The full thing is on mtv’s CZcams channel this is just a short highlight

Kurt is an anglophile. He loves obscure English music. I may be wrong? Did The Shamen ever make it in america?
He constantly name dropped a lot of great music with less recognition, he said he loved underground music.

he said in an interview that his parents kept a lot of english culture in their house so it probably stuck with him
